Cold and hot stiky air

Hi. I have a celestial split system air conditioner and it blows out cold air off and on now. it cuts out a lot and blows out warm stinky air and then after a bit it goes cold again. It didn’t do that brand new and it does it quite a bit. Its really annoying and it doesn’t cool the house very good anymore. I would appreciate any advice on what the problem might be. Thanks for your help. Jeremy. my email is [email protected]

SOURCE: Celestial split system air conditioner

I am a repair man and have had this problem quite a few times, check that the remote is set to heat and 30 degrees.usually a symbol like the sun, very similar to cool easy to mix up.If the a/c is set to heat the indoor fan will not start till outdoor unit has heated coil.

Why does the split unit blow hot air in air conditioner mode, when switched on with the remote control.

because you have the temperature set at 28 degrees celcuis . Change the temperature to 18 degrees and it will cool 28 is hotter
It is a reverse cycle air conditioner it will warm the room if you set temperature to 28 degrees . Set it lower and it will blow out cold air.
Have exact same air conditioner as I recognise the remote control.
point it at the air conditioner when altering the temperature setting.
Check under the slide compartment also on the remote for more advanced settings.

I have a split system air conditioner that quit blowing cold air

either the compressor is not running or you have a leak and are low on freon. the outside fan running does not tell you the compressor is running.

The Exhaust fan is not working, the unit still cools air then cuts out.

the unit is blowing cold air then tripping out, is it blowing hot air out the back? im sure you mean exhaust air as in hot air so the reason your unit is tripping out is that its overheating and the pressures in the rerigeration system are to high, so the safety trip cuts the unit off.

replace the motor

Does not blow cold or hot air

Haved you cleaned the filter?? Clean them! It might be out of refrigerant. Have the unit professionally checked.

Comp shuts off

Coils could be dirty. Compressor could be getting too hot and cutting off. Will have one fan motor that turns condenser fan and evaporator blower.
