There could be a problem with your printer software. Please insert your printer software installation CD into your computer hard drive. Execute the application to repair any possible corrupted printer software files.

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if USB connected)> reboot your pc > unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer (if USB connected). Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection or when the WiFi light on the printer turns solid green (if WiFi connected.).

7. Wait until your computer fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, try to print a document to verify that the problem is fixed.

Yes, the printer can scan documents for emailing. You can use the Lexmark Imaging Studio to scan to email. Go to Start menu -> Programs -> Lexmark 3500-4500 Series -> Lexmark Imaging Studio -> E-mail. Select the Photo, Several Photos, or Document option. Click Start. Click Create E-mail to have your images attached to an e-mail message.

"Bi Directional Printing" is a statement of Parallel Port printing. Are you connected from your PC to the Printer via the parallel port?\

Did you disconnect the USB cable form the PC and then delete the current driver prior to installing the Win 7 driver?

You have an either /or situation. You can run your printer with USB OR WIRELESS, but not both. You need to decide which way you want to run and load that option.

I have recently purchased the above printer and it did not come with any user documentation (installation via dowload from lexmark site). I therefore do not have a pin code to use the scanning devise. Is it a factory pin for all
