Question about Whirlpool 30 in.GJC3054 Electric Cooktop
Hello there and welcome to fixya
This is a fairly common issue with these
These cooktops have a internal memory built into them and if they get locked they need to be reset
SO what you will need to do is to unplug the power to the cooktop and leave it sit for 1 hr and do not touch ok then after the hour is up tunr on the power to the cooktop you may hear a audiable beep sound or a click sound this is normal now press the cancel button and you should be all right from here but if not please post me back a comment and tell me what is going on and i will give you further troubleshooting steps ok ?
Best regards Mike

Tips for a great answer:

If the problem started since it was installed then it can be
that its either a manufacturing defect or the installation is not correctly
done. You can also try to blow air on the knobs to check if dirt is stopping it
from working....Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.
