My motherboard have Via chipset and also realtek codecs for the audio

TThe Motherboard is a p4m800-m7a v1.0 with a VIA chipset of a VT8237R and the audio codecs is a realtek alc655.

First right click my computer then click properties then hardware then device manager scroll down to sound, audio and vedio controllers and see wether any is marked with yellow question mark or red X if its yellow question mark it means the driver is not installed properly if red X it means the device is disabled if red cross then right click the device and click enable if yellow question mark make sure you install the reight drivers after correcting this then click start setting control panel click sound and audio device then remove the tick mardk in the mute and click the volume to high and play some music

drivers for p4m800-m7a is tough to get. but you can try in VIA Motherboard drivers. Try searching VIA website.
