SOURCE: BF162 DISHWASHER HOTPOINT

I think if you push the heated wash and heated dry button several times until all the buttoms light up this will fix your problem.

A clean light that flashed repeatedly 7 times then off. Reset as above with the heated wash and heated dry buttons. You may then noticed a reduced flow from the pump so dissasemble the lower arm and water inlet assy. You may find it mostly plugged with foregin matter and some othe junk. Upon removal of that stuff and reassembly,It may work as new!

SOURCE: My Hotpoint WMA58 washing machine is not heating

We had this problem & called our repair man in. We had accidentally knocked the 'Variable Temperature' dial down too low. It should ALWAYS be set to max (95). The programmer will still sort out the correct temperatures for the different programmes, such as cold wash, but setting that to whatever temperature means that that is the max it will ever reach, Since then, we have not had that problem again.

My Hotpoint BFI620 dishwasher isn't heating the water.

This video shows you how to replace the element, but check it for continuity with a multimeter first.

Washeing machine not heating up

It sounds like either the cable's have rusted off, fallen off the water heater element. Or the Water heater element has failed.

Hotpoint aquarius will not heat water

Hi,

Although I do not know your particular machine I strongly suspect that the heater element is malfunctioning/broken. Even if it is a hot and cold fill it still requires the element to heat the water up to the correct temperature for the selected wash. If it is cold fill only it certainly needs the element all of the time- apart from rinses!
Sorry but it depends now on who you have at hand to repair as to your next step.

Hi i have a dwf30 for some reason all the items are coming out with lots of grease marks on them the tablet pops out ok as you can hear it but everything seems as if its not been rinsed out i thought it...

is there any strange rumbling or moaning coming from the drum ??? if so the oil and greace may be from the back bearing due to the bearing oil seal becoming faulty allowing water through to the bearings

My BF162 runs with the door open. I also cannot

Yup, could be that pesky door latch, or even the control panel board. This could be a case for a repair man or replacement, depending on the cost.

Hotpoint dwt 10 dishwasher - the dishwasher tablet is not dissolving and remains in the bottom of the dishwasher after running a load therefore dishes arent cleaned!

I know it sounds strange, but many times when detergent dissolve, a failed heating element is to blame. The detergent needs that water to be hot to dissolve and activate the detergent.

Recommend you check the heating element for obvious damage/failure. When you run the full cycle, does the heating element get hot? If not, replacing it is not as hard as it appears. Post back here with further questions, OK?

If the heating element _is_ working, the other possibility is a failing wash pump motor, but depending on the age of your dishwasher, replacing

Dryer not drying clothes

If you remove the lid you will see the element on top of the drum.
There are a couple of thermal cutouts mounted on it which would be the first thing to check.
Also look for the obvious broken wires etc.
Also can you hear the fan running when machine is in operation?
Hope this helps & thankyou for using Fixya.
