Panasonic TH-37pd25 the screen is picking up the beginning of the left screen 2/3 of the way across the screen. Works ok in PIP or split or search or with games
When I turnon the tv the screen about 2.3 of the way over starts over again with the far left view. It works fine with the PIP or split screen. Aslo if I am searching which then gives me 3/4 of the screen it is fine. Thinking someone hit a button. Panansonic said I needed to reset to factory settings, but can't hit menu button on remote and volume - at the same time to the n th degree to get into reset mode.

did you check into the settings on the cable box and the tv? make sure you dont have a side by side or picture in picture function that was accidentally hit. and since you said on a game system everything is fine, i would check into the settings on the cable box. is the picture the same in both panels?
try looking under your TV's menu, find the pip or split option and set them up, then on your remote, you should have a pip/split button..see if you can now watch tv with pip or split. If you need more help please be more specific about what the tv is doing when you push those buttons on the remote etc.
ok her is a good test for u, bring up the pip on screen and see if the picture is the same as the main picture ok.now if at is it sounds like to me that u have a bad pip board that is causeing your problem u can bypass the pip u just need to jump the video in to the video out and sync out and in and remove the pip most of time i have found that the small caps go back on the board and u lose snyc and that is y your picture goes black and white with blinking color in the background. now the stk392-150 is a better chip then what u had in it but convergence problem has nothing to do with color snyc. i hope this will hp u marty
On a Panasonic to do a factory reset while the set is on press in on the power and action buttons on the front of the TV at the same time. In a few seconds the screen shouls go blank and come up with a screen that says "CHK" in the upper left hand corner. Once it does that press the action button again to clear the screen. You have now reset the TV to factory settings and will have to re-program the channel memory once again. Hope that works...
