To go back to the main screen just hold down the black button on the bottom front of the handset, if that isnt working then do a manual restart on the handset, to do this you need to hold down the power and the black button for about 5-10 seconds then release, the screen will disappear and then reappear with the apple logo.

Picture went out on 2-year-old Samsung TV model UN50EH5000F. I have sound and full backlight but no video.

You have replaced everything that could have gone wrong - except for the video Screen itself. Check the connections (ribbon) to the screen for oxidation - use eraser to clean.

My iphone 4 deleted contacts

Do you close open apps? Double click the home button and a small bar will come up on the bottom, you should delete everything in that bar. Your phone might have been running too much at one time and that may be why it happened. Your information should automatically be backed up on your computer's itunes or icloud though.

How do I turn speaker phone

    • 1 Press the green "Phone" key on the main screen of your iPhone. This key has a silhouette of a traditional hand receiver and is located on the bottom part of the screen.
    • 2 Begin to use your speakerphone by making a call or accepting a call from other participants. You can make a call by going to your "Contacts" list or activating the keyboard and dialing a number. Incoming phone calls can be accepted by pressing the "Accept" key underneath the caller ID.
    • 3 Activate the "Speaker" function on your iPhone when you are ready to use your speakerphone. This button is located above the caller's information and allows you to switch on and off with one tap of your finger.
    • 4 Put participants on hold while you use your iPhone speakerphone. There is a "Hold" key at the bottom of the calling screen that lets you speak to people without bringing callers into the conversation.
    • 5 Access your contact information over the Internet while you use your speakerphone. You can reach the main page of your iPhone by pressing the "Home" button if you are on hold. The iPhone does not allow you to play music or use other audio options while on hold because you are still on the phone.
    • 6 Adjust the volume level before you begin a conference using your speakerphone. There are volume buttons on the side of the iPhone that provide detailed control over speaker sound levels.
    • 7 Mute the speakerphone if you must leave your office or take a break from a conversation. The "Mute" key is available on the call screen and instantly cuts off your microphone and the speaker.
    • 8 Add new contacts to your iPhone that you have called on your speakerphone. You can go back to your "Recent Calls" list or the keyboard to find numbers to add to your "Contacts" list.

Iphone was dropped on the floor then in about 10 min he was turned off

  1. Check to see if your iphone has battery power. Iphones will shut off, just like any device, if there is no battery life. You can check this by plugging your iphone into a power source (ie your computer through a USB or through a USB jack connector).
  2. If the battery has life, you might need to do a restore.
    1. Plug your iphone into your computer using your USB cable. At this point, iTunes will launch.
    2. Backup your data before proceeding as you could lose purchased songs or apps.
    3. Go to your iPHone's information page inside iTunes. You should see two buttons in the center of the main iTunes window. Select the Restore button.
    4. So long as you have already backed up and synced your phone, click the Restore button.
    5. Once this is complete, you'll need to select the Restore from backup options. This will allow you to restore email accounts, contacts, passwords, etc.
    6. You'll probably want to select all of the options when you are brought to your Sync

What do i do after locking my iphone with too many passcode attempts

If you have forgotten your iPhone’s Passcode you will need to restore your phone via iTunes.

1. First you have to put your phone into the restore mode which is a slightly fiddly process.
2. Plug your iPhone into your PC or Mac with the USB cable
3. Press and hold the power button at the top and then slide to power off the iPhone
4. Press the power button to power the iPhone on and keep it held while simultaneously pressing the home button
5. After a few seconds a yellow alert triangle will appear and the iPhone will say it is iPhone Restore Mode.
6. Open up iTunes and click on the Summary tab
7. Click on Restore to restore your iPhone. This will reset all your iPhone’s setting to the factory defaults, including the Passcode.

You should then follow these steps below to activate the passcode again.
  1. Click the Home button to bring up the main menu
  2. Click on Settings
  3. In the Settings screen click on General
  4. In the General screen click on Passcode Lock
  5. This will open the Set Passcode screen. Enter a memorable 4-figure code and re-enter it when prompted
  6. You will now be at the Passcode Lock screen. You can change when you are prompted to enter the Passcode. The default setting – Immediately – means you will be asked to enter it as soon as your start using the iPhone. But you can change the setting so that the prompt appears after a certain period of use
  7. Press the Home button to return to the main menu.
