SOURCE: Knob setting of front of radio (Connex 3300)

The best way to set it is to get you a radio check, go to channel 19 and ask someone about three to five miles away to give you a radio check, start with your modulation all the way open and go from there.....hope this was helpful...

SOURCE: my radio i can key up the light changes but

First off you can by any radio parts that you need and any good CB shop knows that. But if its only a little over a year old then you can send it back to factory and it'll be fixed free. There is a serial number on the back of the radio the first to digits is the year and the second two the month it was made so is a year or a little over a year old if so call 1-814-898-1046.

Connex 3300 hp-blows regulator every time you hook up power cord. On/off switch can be on or off, no matter , center leg of 2sb827 shorted to ground . RF finals test good .

This is a problem that can't be diagnosed over a computer. There could be several reasons that the AM regulator is being blown. The radio needs to be serviced by a Radio Technician.

Connex 3300 went to ground what can i do

There is something shorted in the power supply. See if you can get a schematic from their website. Most likely parts to check are the voltage regulators, protection diodes and capacitors. A shorted diode will go to ground too.

Connex 3300 HP won't change channels when you turn ch. selector stays on same channel ch. 32.

There is a board in the CB called a PCB board. If you open your radio it is a little circuit board. Held onto the side of the radio by a screw and has two or three connectors leading to the board. Replace that little board and your radio will be good as new. I have seen radios come in my shop many times and this is the fix. What that board does is send a signal to the crystals to start mixing a frequency. When it goes out it just sticks where it is at. Here is a link to a place that can take care of you. http://www.hyelectronics.com/default.asp You tell them you need the little PCB board for a Connex 3300 inside the radio. Might be $35 or so.

I have a Connex 3300. I do not have original plug (power). however, I do have one that fits. I need confirmation this is the right plug. It is three wires. One black(neg.) and two red (positive). I...

The center wire doesn't do anything. Its the outer wires. You can get a standard CB plug with 2 wires that will work just fine. If that plug fits, I it will work. My concern would be if the pos and neg are the correct sides. It should be, But I wouldn't know unless I looked at it.

DO NOT HOOK the radio up with the power wires backwards. Or you will blow the polarity protection diodes. They are there to blow if the radio is hooked up backwards.

If you look at the plug. There is a side the goes to a point, and the other side is square. The black wire, Ground, should be on the side that goes to a point. If it does, then that plug is standard.

It's fine to use and hook up in the usual way. Do not hook up the center wire. It does nothing in the radio. You can clip it, and put a bit of shrink tube on the end as so it does not have a chance to short on anything.

If you are not sure about hooking this power cord to your connex, just go on ebay, and get a regualr CB power wire. They are cheap. It should only have 2 wires.

No power

Either the power cord is bad or the connections to the power jack inside the radio are disconnected or broken. Easiest thing is to try a new power cord, if it doesn't help have a radio tech check out the unit. This should be a very inexpensive repair, usually under $20.
