Hi James,

First of all thank you for posting your question here at Fixya.

Flashing of the LED light green has two error code.

1. Lamp Fan failure - if the lamp LED at the front panel blinks green, this is an indication that there's a malfunction on the lamp fan. You've mentioned that you've replaced the lamp, please make sure that the connector of the fan and other connectors are securely connected. Double check it.

2. DM boot failure - If the Timer/Power at the front panel blinks green for more than 1 minute, this is an indication that the DM failed to booted up. I have a link where you can buy DM repair kit, click it HERE, it includes parts that are know to be faulty, illustrated instruction that will guide you in the whole process of repair. Your unit is a V26 chassis, when you are on the link, you can see two version of the DM repair kit for V26 chassis, one is the same working voltage of the capacitors and the other one is the upgraded version. It's up to you if you are going for upgrade or not.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Have a great holiday!

Kind Regards,

Mjsazon

To update you on the problem; When the TV is turned on the lamp indicator goes yellow and when I power down the lamp indicator goes red. I replaced the lamp as stated previously and checked for connection, which is a simple slide in tray. Would you tell me what the codes mean?

Lamp LED lit yellow means that the lamp usage time over 4000 hrs.
Lamp LED lit red means that the lamp failed to turn on.

If new installed lamp does not cure the above symptoms, this is an indication that the fault could be the lamp ballast or the chassis.

Please check if you can access the "Error code operational check" by pressing the "Device" and "Menu" button key at the front panel and hold it for 5 secs. If the error code is "36" the led will start flashing 3 times pause and then flash 6 times and will cycle for 5 times.

Please let me know what is the error code.

Also, please let me know the exact color of the LED at the front panel upon powering on the unit to determine the caused of the symptoms.

    Hi James,

Thank you for your input regarding on the lamp. I've strongly advice you to obtain a genuine lamp replacement or else you will encountered that kind of symptoms. On this kind of error code(34), lamp is always be the first suspect followed by the ballast if the genuine lamp replacement didn't resolve the issue.

Since the lamp is not original/genuine one, it turned out to be the prime suspect. Please return that lamp and get a replacement from a reliable supplier like this link :http://www.ebay.com/itm/MITSUBISHI-WD-62...

You can press the "DEVICE" and "MENU" keys on the front of the TV (not the remote) and the TV should flash an error code. Here is a chart.

Error Code Probable Cause
12 No error detected
22 Recovery from momentary Reset
32 Lamp Cover open
33 Air Filter Cover open
34 Lamp abnormality
35 Chassis Fan failure
36 Exhaust (Back Cover) or Lamp Ballast Fan failure
37 Engine (DMD or Lamp) Fan failure
38 Excess Lamp Temperature
39 Excess DMD Temperature
41 Short Detected
44 DVI Cable (between Chassis and Engine) disconnected

If the code is lets say 36 the LED will flash 3 times then pause then 6 flashes.

Hello! If you haven't replaced the lamp before, I recommend you do it, since it's already 4 years old. If you already replaced it, there is a possibility you might be having a ballast issue. The ballast is the board in charge of sending all the power to the lamp so it can light up. www.discount-merchant.com/?Click=48427 These part are not that expensive and will get your TV up and running.

Tv shuts off, red status indicator lamp flashes.

Your main boards are bad. The FMT, DM, & Power Supply. They are no longer available, You have to have the chasis rebuilt. Mitsubishi is rebuilding these chasis. You have to pull it without any cut wires & ship to Georgia.
