If its not on the outside of furnace where cold air duct goes in, and you dont have a high efficency filter, which may not look like what your used to, it will be on the inside of the bottom door where blower is located. If its a standard filter, it should be changed monthly, so you may have a really really dirty furnace and this requires immediate attention to avoid fire hazards and part/blower failure and overall efficency.

does the furnace ignite?? your system may not have been lighting and has gone into ignition lockout count the codes of the led lights then remove panel led diagnostic codes are listed there.
if led codes indicate no problem verify capacitor is good and that mtr is getting 115 volts.

SOURCE: Ruud achiever 90 plus gas furnace not blowing any heat

These new furnaces are trouble. Ive been in the htg trade for 25 yrs. The fan is running because they are now controlled by a timer instead of a temperature control. Rather than sensing a preset temperature and turning on the fan, it comes on by a preset time. Couple of things, does either of the doors have an inspection window? most newer furnaces have what is called a smart board. The board will flash a trouble code. ie: 1 long 2 short etc. #1 turn your thermostat to off, youll need 2 people for this! Go to the furnace, If it has the above mentioned inspection window ( usually about 2" round) while peering through the window have someone turn the thermostat to about 80 degrees. Let the furnace cycle and see if it flashes a code. If it does the codes are usually on the bottom door, May be on the inside. The most common cause is either a bad transformer, bad hot surface ignitor or pressure switch failure. Further questions feel free to ask. Steve

SOURCE: i have a Ruud Achiever 90 plus furnace that will not ignite

coming from the induced draft motor is an orange or gray rubber tube leading to a switch pull the end off that is connected to motor and poke a wire or something to insure the hole is not blocked if it is not replace the hose. next step is to check the switch make sure if possible try to jumper 2 wires and turn unit back on if it works then either switch is bad or vent piping is blocked.. For your extreme Safety, Please Do Use Furnace in this condition until problem is fixed. thanks glad i could help

SOURCE: Replacement of filter on Ruud Achiever series heat pump/AC

You must first remove the blower compartment panel. The filter should be in there. However, since this unit is in a crawl space you may have a return air filter grill. Look at your return grill. Does it have a filter? If not does it have latches so that you can open it? If so measure the opening and install a new filter there. I hope this helps. SOURCE: How do I change the filter in my Ruud Achiever series

I'd look in one of 2 areas.

1. often there is a central return in the house. This is the place where the air gets pulled back to the unit and is likely very close to your thermostat. Check for a filtered louvered grill there and see if your filter is located here. If so, you can access the filter by opening the filter frame with a screwdriver or even a coin.

2. Otherwise I would expect that your filter is on the return-air side of your air handler (where the blower is) Older models have the filter actually inside the air handler in the blower compartment. Newer models may have a small separate filter door. I'd look in these areas.

hope this helps

I have a ruud achiever 80 series had to replace thermostat now my unit will not work no green flashing light now worked great until the new thermostat help

Its possible that you blew the 5 amp fuse inside cabinet. Turn power off at breaker and open cabinet. Typically a small, car like, fuse somewhere along the red wire leading to the tstat wire. Or on a control board.
