Cycle time is roughly 45 minutes, doesn't go into rinse, didn't drain until this morning when I hit the rinse button several times then cancel. I do not have manual but have plenty of mechanical abilities. Float seems to acuate properly, drain hose is clear, and I can hear drain pump humming. Need trouble shooting techniques, i.e-digital functions to drain manually (separately.

if it uses an electric heating coil to boost temp- that may have failed. they don,t last forever! if it is pretty old, and fixing it costs a bunch- may be time to add a new member to your kitchen appliances! the latest consumer reports has some 'best buys' listed. (no- i don't work for cr!). good luck!
bad drain pump or clogged drain line. some units have drain trap you can clean,if so you can clean it out yourself but will make a huge mess if you don't pinch close the drain hose between the tub and pump.
Unplug the machine for at least half an hour to eliminate the possibility of an electronic glitch. Then upon plugging in back, close the door then push CONTROL/ON (if present on this model). Select the DRAIN/SPIN cycle then select NO SPIN by pressing the SPIN SPEED button. Push PREWASH OPTION four times within five seconds. If PREWASH OPTION is not present on this model, press EXTRA RINSE four times within five seconds. C:00 will light up on the display. If the Starting procedure fails, push the PAUSE/CANCEL button then repeat the starting procedure.
In order to advance to the next step of the test procedure, push PREWASH OPTION button two times. If PREWASH OPTION is not present on this model, press EXTRA RINSE two times. The test program goes from C:00 to C:08 and should flash an error code when a problem is present. Post the code back for further troubleshooting, including the exact model number of the machine.
I realize the above question is almost 4 years old, but I am sure others are still having this problem. My Danby was behaving the same way: drying cycle light would flash like it was having a myocardial infarction, and the cycle would stop. I could only get the light to stop flashing by turning the unit off. What you didn\'t say above is what happens then: everything most likely returns to normal-- or at least, so it seems. I have now had this happen to me two times in a row with my Danby 1899WP. Each time the machine has started up just fine, drains water out, loads in fresh water, and begins the wash cycle, only to freeze up with that damn flashing red light on the dry cycle and the dishes not clean. I have owned it for about two months, and so far this is my only complaint. I am running it again right now, for the third time, and we shall see what that light does now.... Will report back afterward!
Your post doesn`t specify a model number, however on most Bosch dishwashers in order to change from "rinse & hold" to "regular" ( or any cycle ) simply turn the unit "on" and once the machine begins push the regular button twice.
Or the button applicable to the cycle you want.
That should change the display to look like this...
If this doesn`t work, try it for "econo" or any alternative and let me know how it goes.
How is the water filling? Slower than it should?LF (long fill) Start by removing the hot & cold hoses off the back of washer ,now look inside the valve for clogged screens,if they are clogged ,clean them.If problem continues replace the water valve.
