If it has a exclamation sign on it and it is in yellow it means the driver is missing .Even if you installed some driver it is not for this card ..If you know the card name ..and so...just go to the manufacturer's support site and download the driver for your operation system and run it again .This will fix teh issue for sure.If you have an on-board graphic card ..the driver should be on the motherboard's disk with the other drivers..if the card is separately on agp or pci ..it should have its own disk ..Always run the proper driver for the operation system you use..and exact driver for the device ..they rarely work for related models from the same manufacturer..but only sometimes..You always need to get the one for this device .and be sure when you load it that you installed it and had no errors.
Let me know if you need further assistance ..in locating the driver ..but only if you have information about the graphic card ..otherwise I don't know what to look for ..
have a nice day ..and please rate my answer..it helps my activity here !

You may need to change from onboard video to pci or pci express in the bios. But try installing the correct drivers first as written by Catalin.

Can not log on to windows XP after installing the driver display shutsdown while entering to windows.

If its a Desktop computer, Switch it off, disconnect the power cable, open it up and remove the Graphics card from its slot. If you have a network cable, remove it too and try to boot the computer.
If that fails, then try to boot your computer while pressing F8 which will lead you into safe mode. Try and see if the computer can boot in safe mode. When you boot in safe mode, go to start, then open Control panel and go to "Add and Remove Programs" tab. Uninstall the driver that you recently installed. If you can not see them in Control panel, then click on start, right-click on "My computer" and go to its properties. Then go to device manager, and look for any yellow question mark or exclamation mark. This will normally be visible on the device that failed installation. Then right click on it and select uninstall, this will remove your corrupt drivers. Restart the computer and try to boot is normally

Want to improve the graphics card to watch DVD's. no card to remove must be internal will this cause a problem?

1Disable the onboard graphics (assuming that you are running Windows). Turn your computer on and log on using Safe Mode. You can do this by pressing F8 repeatedly during boot up. You should come to a list of options; highlight Safe Mode using the up and down buttons, and press 'Enter' to select.
  • 2Right click on My Computer and select Properties.
  • 3Select the Hardware tab, and click on Device Manager.
  • 4Click on the '+' by the picture of a monitor. It should pull up your graphics device (something like Intel Integrated Graphics).
  • 5Right click on the device for your onboard graphics.Disable it, don't uninstall it; otherwise, this will cause you a world of trouble.
  • 6Log off, and power your computer off.
  • 7Remove the case cover and insert the new card in an empty slot.
  • 8Plug your monitor cable into the new card, and when you log on, it should run on low resolution until the driver is installed. It should find the new hardware, and from here, follow the graphics card installation manual. Sometimes it has programs that install the driver and not the Found New Hardware Wizard.

Displays 'Input Not Supported' at start up om black screen

Seems that you have set the resolution on your graphics card to a setting higher than the maximum resolution supported by your monitor.
Try to boot into Safe Mode & lower the resolution of your graphics card. If not possible, go to Device Manager & remove the graphics card from it, then reboot your computer. This will reset the resolution.
You can then re-install your graphics card drivers & get it to work properly.

    Blank Monitor

I have the same system and card. The problem is the system is trying to run two monitors at once. Use Windows safe mode (F8 during boot) to uninstall any Pny drivers you may have put on. Reboot. Install the pny drivers again. Before rebooting, use the device manager to look at the display drivers. There should be two, an Intel one, and the pny Nvidia one. Disable the intel driver and reboot. Worked for me. Youmay also want to upgrade the power supply. The 3000 has a 225W and the 8400 card wants at least 300W.

    No signal input

this sounds like fried graphics card... the clue being the error message before it died,

Does the PC boot so that you can see the Bios Screen, (the very first info that displays) the BIOS screen does not use the windows drivers and would be unaffected if a driver failure occurs,

if this is the case then press f8 on boot to select SAFE mode so you can remove/replace the graphics drivers (in device manager)

if you cannot get bios or safe mode, then try reseating your graphics card first as it may have just worked it way out of its slot (due to expansion of card/slot as system heats/cools)

if this fails to work then a replacement of the graphics card is probably what is required.

Matrox g550 display card with winxp pro

try pressing f8 before you see the win xp logo with the scrolling green bar. Select Safe-Mode and press the enter key. This will bring you into safe-mode. If you can boot into safe mode then try going to the device manager and uninstalling the drivers. After that reboot and let windows use the default graphics card drivers. Then go to the manufacturer website and download the latest drivers.
