Look in the manual, page 28 for the folders, files have to be put into.
Put music in the MUSIC folder.

Always safely remove the player hardware connection.

When using Windows operating system, Windows Media Player 11 can be used to transfer media as well. Look in the Quick Setup Guide how to use WMP11:
