Hello,

Please click An Ink System Error Code Displays on the Front Panel to access the steps that should resolve the issue.

If issue still exists, then the printer need to be serviced.

How do i reboot my hp c6180 printer

This seems to works for me and doesn't appear on the HP support site nor in the manual...

1. Power down the printer (use on/off button) and remove power cable. Wait 2 minutes.
2. Hold down Help and OK buttons together while plugging in the power cable.
3. I held the buttons for around 5 seconds and when I released them, the printer seemed to go back to a hard reset - all sorted!

Hope this helps!

HP C6180 boot - init loop / power on-off loop

The Formatter board (main logic board) is faulty. You need to take the printer in for repairs to HP, in my experience though it usually works out better to replace the printer.

Press 6 and # while disconnecting the power cord (wait a little bit) and connecting it again. When the display is turned on again you can release the buttons.

After this reset you need to enter language, location and any wireless settings etc.

My photosmart hp C6180 keeps saying printer alignment failed and it will not print anything with black ink. I have replaced the black cartridge 3 times. What do I do? It will print all the other colors...

C6180 reset:

Perform a semi-full reset to set all user menu settings, telephony parameter settings, country/region and language UI, fax memory settings, fax journal information, speed dial and broadcast lists, personal header information, and junk fax settings to the default settings. Performing a semi-full reset of the All-in-One
  1. Use the On button to turn on the product.
  2. Remove the power cord from the product.
  3. Press and hold the # and 6 buttons.
  4. While holding the buttons down, connect the power cord to the product.
  5. Continue to hold the buttons down until the color graphics display becomes blank, then release the buttons.
  6. Use the On button to turn on the product. The reset information appears on the color graphics display.
