For what your saying its the video board...either its shot or voltage from the power board it not what it should be..check for bulging caps and for burnt spots on the boards...video board has all the inputs power board can be found by following the power cable...please make sure to have the unit unpluged before servicing

This type of issue is usually caused by blown capacitors on the power supply board. If you wan to do the repair yourself then go to our web site at: www.ccl-la.com/capacitors.htm and look at the pictures of what to look for in your monitor. Now open the unit and look for the power supply board, replace all parts hat look like the pictures and have even slightly bulging tops. Most likely - the CCFL backlight is not getting the power it needs to come on. You can verify by shining a light on the front surface of the set - if you can just make out a dim image, then that is it. On some sets, the CCFL can be seen through the vents on the rear.
