SOURCE: MP3 CD not recognized by Sony-Error "No Disc"

the mp3 files have to be recorded in the ISO9660 level 1 or level 2 format, or the Joliet or Romeo in the expansion format.
Please note this is verbatim, straight from my Sony manual.
For details of your recording format you will have to see your converter's help or configuration files.

Welcome to Fixya

Sounds like the lens stopped reading the disc. Try to clean the lens by using CD cleaner.

My sony c555es will not power up.

An ES model is worth taking to an authorized Sony repair depot, even if it costs $100 or so for the fix.

Sony 5 disc cd player won't play 5 cds but plays just 1 disc

Check the mode of operation. There can be a setting where it just plays one disc. Random or mixed will give you more songs to get to other discs.

What is the best way to attach a Sony SCD CE595 CD player SACD to a Denon AVR 2105 Receiver. I thought the optical input would be best but according to a web posting, toslink does not support SACD

That is correct. Digital connections through some models of SACD players are via "firewire", otherwise it is analog output. There are no optical connections.

The shortest pair of RCA cables, or even component video cable as an alternative will work.
