I have a ken more elite double oven. I set it for 425 for 30 min and was to turn it back. I am cooking a chicken. I didn't have my glasses on and accidentally turned the flex and clean on. Now

sure you'll be able to open it but your chicken will be burnt to a crisp. actually, it may not if you just hit cancel right away after starting the self clean feature.

H E L P !!! My oven made some noises this morning when my husband was wiping down the front of the oven door. Noise sounded like the "oven was going into clean mode"....but then only lasted...

Hello.

Please apply the solution this way!

To close an oven door when it's in the locked position and the door is open, press and hold the oven door light switch while following these simple steps:
  • Program the oven to self-clean.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
  • Cancel self-clean.
  • Wait 20 seconds.
To self-clean your wall oven, follow these simple steps:
  • Remove the oven racks.
  • Set your oven control to "Clean."
  • Select a cleaning time or choose a cleaning level: light, medium or heavy. For typical cleaning needs, we recommend that you select a cleaning time of three hours or choose the medium setting.
  • Select "Start." (To set a delayed start, see your Use & Care Guide.)

Note: For safety reasons, the oven door will remain locked until the oven cools down. When it is sufficiently cool, the door will automatically unlock.

Thanks for using fixya.

Hi, One thing you can try is turn off and pull out plug. If you can't get at plug turn off breaker down on pannel for 1 hour and them turn back on. if that does not fix it call repair man. pc board maybe at fault.

The oven door won't close all the way. The "lock" light on the upper left is on. No amount of fiddling has solved this problem and oven is unusable. Help please!

Hi

The door lock assembly is bad and should be replaced, you can try to move it but that won't help and will have to be replaced to solve this issue. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

How do i reset the locked oven door to unlock it?

I have had that problem once.I turned off the breaker to that oven over night and then in the morning the door opened as it should.I found a GE page that is below. It may help.

Some models with oven Set and Temperature knobs must have those knobs set in the Clean position before the latch can be moved to the left. If your door won't unlock, try turning those knobs back to Clean, then slide the latch over.

1.press back key to turn off the oven.
2.Open left side pannel.
3.press 'back' and 'enter' key together. Then, enter 9428 and then press enter.
4.You will be directing to an testing screen. At the bottom of thetesting screen there are many alphabets. In which you can see 'P' ,'S' and 'M' .
5.Open the door and watch what happened to alphabet 'P'.I meant to say that when door open alphabet will highlited ,and when closed its seems an regular 'P'
6.open door and close the door .And also keep an eye on the primary switch at the top left corner of the oven where the door latches engaged. If it engaged very nicely and you still see an highlited 'P' in the testing screen then REPLACE THE PRIMARY SWITCH OR IF SWITCH IS OKAY THEN CHEK THE WIRING UPTO MAIN BOARD.
7.If switch doesn't latches properly then adjust switch ,by lossning the screw and aligned it properly.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU KNOW HOW TO USE MULTIMETER,SO I CAN EXPLAIN YOU HOW TO CHECK THE SWITCH.
