Printer paper jams can be caused from:
Paper that is sticking to-gether - fan your paper from both ends and both surfaces before placing it into the printer
Paper tends to absorb moisture in high humidity - this can also cause it to stick and jam.
Always store your paper flat - many printers jam readily when supplied with bent or slightly damaged paper.
There could be a piece of paper stuck in the printer from a previous jam - especially if you have printed labels - it only takes one tiny corner of a label to cause paper jams in any printer - cheap consumer models to commercial models costing thousands of dollars.
