On one of the discussion boards you answer this to a question I need help with.

im sorry to say but you need to have a IC replaced on the main board to fix this

Comment by tech435, posted on Sep 22, 2008 its not a IC you can replace your self let me know where you are and i can let you know which dealer to use **My tv will not turn on...the power light, however, will blink 5 times pause and then start blinking again....HELP!? I live in Jacksonville, FL...is there anyone here that can help...and is this going to cost me an arm and a leg.

Yes it did fix my problem but you need a tech to look at it. if your in canada i can recomend a dealer

Look for a used Panasonic PT-47WX42F One in Local ads, Or place a wanted ad for your model. ~ Or if you want A new one, Get ahold of a TV Shop And OR Panasonic and be ready to spend lots of $$$$ ~ And yes there easy to replace!, Make sure you have a large clean area to work in, And a helper. Becarful and replace them back in as they came out! ( Top Bottom) they should be marked with a small tag or mark.... Geo*

Panasonic PT-47WX42F does not come on light flashes 3 times HELP!

There is a service manual which should cover this model/chassis series:

Page 11 ('auto diagnosis feature') shows a table of LED flashes and what each one means. I'd start by checking D-board (since that is power and deflection) and going from there.

Yes you can get replacement IC STK392-110 convergence ICs at the following link and they provide free instalation instructions with pictures. The Ics are located on the board on the left side attached to a large heatsink. You will need to replace both ICs heres the link.

Panasonic HDTV Projection PT-47WX42F won't turn on

Your Set is going into shutdown mode due to the convergence section of your television. Thats what 3 blinks mean. It could be just the Convergence ICs and resistors or you may need a new Signal board TNP2AH035 Let Me know if you need further assistance with this problem.
