Read your user manual about keyboard split. OFTEN the rhythms use the keys below F sharp for the chording of rhythm. When in this mode, you should restrict your melody to notes above F sharp that is to the left of middle C. If you play melody below this it will confuse the rhythm chording. You can likely change the split point of the keyboard, however, the F sharp split is the standard and I would suggest staying with it.

sounds like an internal connection problem. open access panel and check the solder connection is not broken or loose. Be sure the metal mesh jacket is not touching the lead wire as that would cause a scratchy noise and feedback, or maybe near the internal cable causing feedback

Th lights on rare of the speaker are blinking no sound

I had two of these units fail exactly the same way. The amplifier assembly is the failing part.

If it's out of warranty, then you will need to order a replacement. Don't bother with Behringer support, they aren't helpful. I recommend a place called The Tone Garage. They have said they can order replacement amplifier assemblies in about 4 weeks.

I would guess this is less than 3 years old and assuming you registered you will have a 3 year warranty so they'll probably fix it for you FOC

How to fix a Samson XP40iw Speaker PA System

Have you checked the cables? If that doesn't fix it, you probably have a loose connection inside between the "mixer" unit and "amp" unit

When we are trying to get a reasonable level of sound for vocals before it gets loud enough to be able to hear clearly with the band playing it starts to clip at the speakers now we are only using this set...

Proper level setting of the mixer is important. HOWEVER if the clipping is occuring at the speakers the only possible problem MIGHT be that you have a supersonic feedback that is saturating the speakers above your hearing range, Be sure you don't boost the highs too much with the EQ as this can cause the feedback that you can't hear. Also make sure that you power the speakers from the SAME receptacle as the mixer, even if it means running an extension cord to bring power to the mixer. This is to avoid a low frequency hum and common mode distortion/damage. A low frequency hum could cause the clipping.
It would be a good idea to get a sound meter to check the sound level. You should be able to reach 85 Db from this system without clipping. If you need more than that, you MAY need more speakers if the band instruments are too loud. Also if the band has amps that get into the vocal microphones that adds to the clipping level... make sure the mics don't "hear" the band instruments. Make sure your speakers are toward the audience from the mics to avoid the supersonic feedback problem. If the vocalists can't hear themselves with that configuration you need to set up seperate stage monitors.

There are some pretty good videos on YouTube about proper mixer level setup.

Korg pa-50 no sound from right speaker but has sound from left

Several things to check:

If the speakers are cut off when externaal cables are connected to line outs, possibly the jack sensing switch for the right channel thinks that a plug is in there... you might cycle one in and out to see if that might fix.

Another thing is they LIKELY have a PAN control setting and it might be set full left. The external MP3 would NOT be under PAN control, only the keyboard voices would be affected by it.

I have a crate PA 8 and it makes a crackling noise when I play through it. I hooked the speakers to my other amp and they sound good, I hooked the PA to my marshall cab and it still has the noise, so I...

Hi

The problem is with the amplifier itself. Crackling is usually capacitor related and you will need to have the amp checked over to properly identify the cause.

Some amps are also prone to pick up static from other electrical items which can also cause these problems. I had a crackling issue with an old Crate amp of mine which turned out it was due to being too near a computer/monitor so it is worth eliminating these things as a possible cause before having the amp checked.

Hope this helps. Thanks for using FixYa.
