Try moving the sliding green media guide out from the wall about 1/4 to 1/2 inch, until the white line is under the label path. This green piece holds the label sensor, which needs to be under the labels so it can sense the gap between labels (or the black mark on the bottom side of the backing, if there is no gap). Also, on the printer menu you must choose whether your stock has a gap (aka web) or black mark (aka reflective).

Try pressing and holding the menu key until display is good and releasing it.

Position Fault is common on Datamax printers with the LCD Display. Press "FEED" one time and this should clear it out. If not, "PRESS AND HOLD FEED" for about 5 seconds and release. This is called a Quick Calibration. Make sure the label sensor is in the correct position as well.

You may need to take out the whole ribbon assembly by removing 3 screws. The ribbon sensor looks like a L shaped clear plastic glass.

If still not working. buy the ribbon assembly.

Press the menu button and hold until you can read the display, and then release it.

Apparantly, you have the present sensor enabled in the printer and there is no physical present sensor option installed. Go to the printer menu by pressing MENU. Press FEED until you get PRINTER OPTIONS and then press CANCEL. Press FEED until you get to PRESENT SENSOR and then press CANCEL. Press FEED until it says DISABLED and press CANCEL. Press MENU repeatedly slowly until you get a prompt to save changes then press CANCEL. Press FEED to clear error and it should go away.

If you use ms-access you must have installed the windows driver, therefore you must enable the cutter in the printer properties. Position fault is that it does not detect the label, must be press the FEED key or to calibrate, press the FEED key for 5 seconds to calibrate the sensor label.
