How to run a cleaning cycle on the iP3000 - Canon PIXMA iP3000 InkJet Photo Printer

I find this an unusual problem but lets look at the logic.
It worked ok before your replaced the colour cartridges.
Your replaced only the colours and now it does not.
Did you replace the cartridges with like for like?
Are they compatables? Did you run the cleaning cycle?
Run the cleaning cycle at least 3 times.
If still no good buy 3 genuine canon cartridges and see what happens.
If still no joy then must assume the printhead is the problem.
A bit of a coincidence?

Assuming a windows computer ... go to the printers section, right click on the IP3000, click on propterties then the maintenance tab. Try cleaning or deep cleaning and then nozzle check.

Sounds like a clogged print head. Have you tried cleaning the print heads?

From your printer's setup page, click on the "Maintenance" tab and select "Deep Cleaning". Then click on "Execute." When the confirmation window comes up, click on "OK". The cleaning cycle starts when the power lamp begins to blink.

Don't try doing anything else with the printer until the cleaning cycle is done...it takes about a minute.

You need to clean the printhead and make sure that you have enough color inks in the cartridges. You may need to run the clean printhead cycle more than once to clear any blockages.

The print head is defective.Replace it.

clean head cardrige and calibrate color cardriges.

remove the print head . soak in isoprople alcohol 91%proof. do not touch the gold pads in back of the print head. do not push hard on the head with the soft cotton cloth as tiney fibers of cotton may clog the heads further. let soak 5 minutes at least. then air dry and replace in printer and run clean cycle or deep clean cycle . then print a test page again. you might want to wear rubber gloves for this... ps clear house hold amonia helps cut the ink if you get it on anything

Try Start --> Control Panel --> Printer and Faxes

Right click on the printer --> slect Properties

Look for maintenance and try "clean" or "Deep Cleaning"

If you cannot find "Maintenance" look for "Tools"

if you have the uninstall programe use to clean it.
