I have the most updated version of the Scansnap Manager, but I have been having this problem with all versions. I will set up shortcuts to folders, and after a couple weeks, they disappear from the side navigation menu. If I try to create new shortcuts, it automatically adds a (2) or (3) after, as if the other shortcuts are still their, just not viewable. It's really frustrating. I have three locations deep in our file system that I constantly scan to, and the shortcuts would save me so much trouble.

Hello,
I also had this issue. I was running an older version of Scansnap Manager.
I installed the latest update Version 2.2 (January 2011) and it works fine now.
Here is the link to the Upgrades.

Hope this helps
Go to msconfig or if you have a registry cleaner, go to the startup menu. Disable and ssmgr (scansnap manager in pfu). Reboot. Open the ScanSnap 1500 and then start the ScanSnap manager. The scanner is now ready to scan.
Under Permissions, in the Permission Level list, click the permission level that you want. For details about permission levels, see Outlook folder permissions. You can create custom permissions by selecting the check boxes and options under Permissions.
There maybe a patch available with a later driver Go to Device Manager, Expand 'Imaging' folder and right click on your webcam text. 'Update driver' and use internet option.
Check your webcam is set to default in Skype
Start Skype.
On the Tools menu, click Options.
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Audio Settings.
Select your logitech device as the default microphone. For example, select Logitech + model#.( if it has mic )
In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Video Settings.
Select your Logitech device as the default Webcam. For example, select Logitech + model #
Click Save.
Failing that check if you have the latest version of Skype
Right-click on the ScanSnap system tray icon and de-select the 'Use Quick Menu' option. When you reopen the ScanSnap manager, you should now see the application tab.
Yes, it *IS* possible to run your ScanSnap S510 scanner on a 64-bit Windows operating system (e.g., Vista 64-bit, Server 2008 64-bit, etc.) but you will need to contact Fujitsu customer support (go to Fijutsu's website and look up their telephone number) and ask them to send you the link (along with username/password) to download the 64-bit versions of the ScanSnap Manager software as well as the CardMinder & Organizer software (optional).
FYI, as of March 2009 that is, the 64-bit version of the ScanSnap Manager is 4.2 L14 and the actual file name that you'll be downloading from Fujitsu's website is called "ssWv42x64.exe" (220 MB file).
Again, this software is NOT available from the public portion of Fujitsu's support website due to legal licensing restrictions. Additionally, this is NOT the same thing as some of the "updates" for Vista they have floating around the public technical support portion of their website.
There should not be any problem installing that sofware on that OS and version. My guess is you have a botched (corrupted) install. Try uninstalling if you can otherwise let me know and we'll "clean out the registry." Good luck!
