Diagram a sentence for me

the subject is smell and the verb is making. The phrases, of freshly baked bread, at the bakery, near my apartment, are prepositional pharses

"Puppy" is the subject, and "raced" and "skidded" are the verbs.

Sister is the subject. Moved Is The verb. The verb is the action and the subject is what did the action.

verb - is an action, something what you do

thought - is a subject

Do you mean the parts of a sentence? A sentence contains a subject (what the sentence is about, the topic of the sentence) and a predicate(what is said about the subject). A predicate always contains a verb.
In this sentence:
sentence: You speak French subject predicate
verb You speak French

The is article/adjective modifying subject boy. Yelled and saw are verbs in the predicate of this compound sentence; and is the conjunction. "Help" is the direct object of yelled. A brave dog quickly run to the rescue is a gerund. Subject of gerund is dog with a and brave as modifiers. Run is verb of gerund with quickly the adverb modifying. To the rescue is a prepositional phrase. To is the preposition, rescue the object of to and the a modifier. And here I though my 8th grade talents were no longer needed. Why is this listed in the chainsaw catagory?
