The only thing I know that you can do to Chrome, which is a small but efficient web browsing program, is to uninstall it and reinstall the latest version. If it still does this, maybe test another browser like ie9 or Apple's Safari to see if the problem can be duplicated there.

Make Google news my home page

Hi
Load Google Chrome. On the right side of the address bar is an icon consisting of 3 horiz bars. Click on this and then click on settings. A webpage will open. Under the On Start-up heading, click a dot into "open a specific page" and click on "set page". In the box which comes up type the address of the page you want. In your case I think it is
https://news.google.co.uk/nwshp?hl=en&ei=0iI8VIyzAcnnaLLggkA&ved=0CAoQqS4oCA
Having done that delete any other address that may be shown and close the settings page. Restart Chrome and it should open to Goggle News. Other browsers will have different ways to set the Home Page, but the above link will take you to Google News no matter which browser you use

I want to make google my home page

It depends on what browser you are using, but it is pretty much the same process for all browsers for setting your home page.
I will give example using the Firefox browser.
1. Go to the Google page by typing www.google.com in the address window then press enter. - You should see the google website page displayed.
2. Double click on the address window to highlight the address then right-click with the cursor still on the highlighted address and select "copy" from the dropdown menu.
3. From you web browser's menu select "Preferences" - in Firefox click on "Edit" then "Preferences" in the drop-down menu.
4. The preferences window should appear opened to the "General" tab. If another tab is opened then click on the "General" tab.
5. You will see "When Firefox starts: Show my homepage" - If "Show my homepage" is not showing then you can select it by clicking on whatever is in the window currently and choose it from the dropdown menu.
5. Next - put the mouse cursor in the "Home Page:" window - then right-click and select "Paste" to past in the "Google" site address that you copied from the address window in step 2. above. Alternately, instead of copying the Google website address into this window you could simply type in "www.google.com" and it should work.
6. Final step in setting your preferences - below the window that you just filled in step 5. is a button/sign that says "Use Current Pages". Right-click on this button/sign.
7. Close the preferences window. Next time you startup your browser the google website should appear as your home page.

Make Google my homepage

Chrome:
  1. Click the Chrome menu snp_2696434_en_v1 on the browser toolbar.
  2. Select Settings.
    • Add the home button to the browser toolbar
Homepage button is off by default. Select the "Show Home button" checkbox in the "Appearance" section to show it on the browser toolbar.
    • Set your homepage
When the "Show Home button" checkbox is selected, a web address appears below it. If you want the Homepage button to open up a different webpage, clickChange to enter a link. You can also choose the New Tab page as your homepage.
IE:
  1. Make sure you've closed all open tabs, then open Internet Explorer for the desktop.
  2. Tap or click Tools, and then tap or click Internet options.
  3. Under the General tab, enter the web address of your new home page, and then tap or click Apply.

FireFox:
  1. Open the website you want to set as your home page. If you want a blank home page, open a new tab.
  2. Click the icon to the left of the web address, drag it to the Home button, and release.
  3. Click Yes to set this as your home page.

Safari:
1. Click on Safari in your Safari menu, located at the top of your screen. When the drop-down menu appears, choose Preferences.
2. Select General from the Preferences menu, which is now overlaying your browser window. Once General is selected, you will notice a section labeled Home Page in the main window of the Preferences dialog.3. Directly to the right of the "Home Page" label is an edit field containing your current home page URL. In the example below, Safari's current home page is http://www.apple.com. To modify this address, simply erase the contents of the edit field and replace it with the desired web address.
4. Directly below this edit field you will see a button labeled Set to Current Page. Clicking this button will change your home page setting to whatever page you are currently viewing within the Safari browser.
5. Once you have completed your changes, close the Safari Preferences dialog by clicking the red circle/x located in the top left hand corner of the box.

I installed babylon windows internet explorer and it substitute google windows internet explorer and I want to get it back as homepage please tell me how

Hi. This is fairly simple to fix.
First open firefox, from the way you describe it , then it opens to google.
thats ok.
Now go to the babylon website.
Next, click you tools tab, and then select options.
On the tab that says general is the place to make changes to your home page.
Right click on your address bar where you have babylon web address, and click copy, or copy link location, whichever it offers
Next delete the google address in the home page block, and paste the babylon one into it.
Then click ok.
Close your browser, wait about 15 seconds, this allows the system to recognize the changes, and then open firefox again.
Now you should have babylon as your home page instead of google.

Dell v14 msn homepage stopped working and not sure why msn link broken

I guess you lost your Home Page link to MSN, right? If so, use your browser--probably MS Internet Explorer--to go to www.my.msn.com and sign in.

From the MS IE top menu bar, select Tools, then Internet Options. In the General tab you will see Home Page on top and your home page address should be in the Address line. Click Use Current.

Your home page should be restored.
