SOURCE: Keypad/clock went blank

Normally when a power surge lands a direct hit on a non protected circuit board, it will usually fry it completely. you can confirm this by shutting down the power for 5 minutes. if the control doesn't respond after the 5 minutes of no power, this will confirm circuit failure due to the surge and, you will need to replace the board in this case.

RM Toledo 110 Fan oven, heats up cuts out. clock also goes off, but dosnet trip the electricity. toggle mains switch set clock and works again, for another ten minutes or so?. the cycle repeats.

The issue you described with your RM Toledo 110 Fan oven can be caused by a few potential factors. Here are some possible explanations and troubleshooting steps you can try:
  1. Overheating or thermal cut-out: If the oven heats up and then cuts out after a short period, it's possible that the oven is overheating and triggering a thermal cut-out safety feature. This could be due to a faulty thermostat or an issue with the oven's ventilation. Check if the oven's vents are clear and not blocked by any obstructions. Additionally, you may need to have the thermostat checked and replaced if it's not functioning correctly.
  2. Electrical connection issue: It's possible that there's an electrical connection problem causing the oven and clock to intermittently lose power. Inspect the power cord and plug for any damage or loose connections. Ensure that the oven is securely plugged into a stable power outlet. If the issue persists, it may require the attention of a professional electrician to investigate and repair any underlying wiring issues.
  3. Control panel malfunction: A malfunctioning control panel or circuit board could cause the oven and clock to intermittently lose power. This could be due to a faulty component or a loose connection. Contact the manufacturer's support or a qualified technician to diagnose and repair the control panel if needed.
  4. Power supply fluctuations: In some cases, unstable or fluctuating power supply can cause appliances to behave erratically. If you notice other devices or appliances experiencing similar issues in your home, it may be worth contacting your electricity provider to investigate and resolve any power supply issues.
Given the potential safety risks involved with oven repairs and electrical troubleshooting, it's advisable to seek assistance from a qualified technician or contact the manufacturer's support for further guidance. They will have the expertise and knowledge to diagnose the specific problem with your RM Toledo 110 Fan oven and recommend appropriate solutions

JJW8230DDB Jenn Air double oven. Black. Digital display. The only buttons working on the display are the Cancel buttons. Display still shows time, but I can not set the time (the clock button does not work...

When buttons are not working most of the time it is due to a short in the touch pad or the electronic control in a unit you would have to call for service if you did not know how to use a multimeter to perform ohms and continuity testing and measureing of both pieces. Usually though due to the button not working most of the time it is the touch pad though. If you have any further questions message me back Thanks again

Replaced desplay board and nothing worked replaced right and left relay boards and clock works nothing else flashes f1 f1 checked wiring harnness with ohm meter ok dont know what else to try

F1 touch pad / ERC test This simple test will help determine whether the ERC (Electronic Range Control or Clock) or the touch pad is defective when F1 error code is present.

Note: Some models incorporate the touch pad in to the ERC as a single assembly, in which case this test is not necessary. Simply replace the ERC (Clock).

Warning: If you feel in any way uncomfortable performing this test or making this repair, please contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

1. Disconnect power to the range (unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is very important that the power to the range has been disconnected, so please double check before continuing.
2. Gain access inside the control panel.
3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC.
4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.
5. Turn the power back on.
6. Wait for at least one hour to see if the F1 code comes back (usually accompanied by a beeping sound).
7. If F1 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.

My Kenmore 9114742592 Wall Oven does not work. The display is blank and the circuit breaker is not tripped. What can I check for?

HI, check the junction box for separated power cord wires. replace the junction point if the wires are separated and not connected to the oven properly. replace the cord as well in this case.

Now, if the power cord is ok and, the junction is connected properly, this will confirm that the control or, clock has failed. replace the clock or, oven control board in this case.
