Question about Mitsubishi WS-65807 65" Rear Projection Television

1 Answer

Mitsubishi WS-65807 blinks '22'

I see that you have posted many good answers about this TV and I was wondering if you could help me.

My Mitsubishi WS-65807 turned off one day, and when we turned it back on it just kept powering itself back off.

A little research on the web and I found instructions to 'read' the error code - '22'

I pulled the center board and the pico fuses are reading open. I plan to replace them - should I replace the convergence ICs too?

I have decent electronic skills, but not really good a board-level trouble shooting. I am looking for a repair manual for the tv, and any advice I can get. Can you PM me?

Thanks!

Jim

Jim,
yes the convergence Ics are what cause the two picos to be open they are both 5 amp picos. You can get the picos, the convergence ICs and the factory service manual for your model at the following link.your model is known as the V17 chassis for service manuals and you should require two STK392-570 Convergence ICs. Heres the link they provide free instalation instructions.

Add hdmi port to mitsubishi ws-65807

I doubt it as it was never designed for that kind of input, Component works best on this set and it should have only one HD input for a box marked in the menu as DTV.

WS-65807 picture goes black when using HiDef Signal

Tank, If the unit operates correctly on DVD then we can assume that the signal chain and display is operational. Can you substitute the Directv receiver to rule the box out as part of the problem? I know they came out and checked but how exhausting was the testing? Have you checked signal strength on the directv on screen setup? Low or marginal signal strength could cause intermittent blanking. When the screen goes dark does the audio continue? please let us know..
