Question about Mountain Buggy Urban Single Stroller

Where can I get replacement rear wheels for Mountain Buggy Urban pram?

We have an old Mountain Buggy Urban pram and its rear wheels keep giving us problems. They are not rotating straight any more, but rather wobbly, the tubes keep deflating and tyres coming out of the wheel. The pram currently became not usable. We are having a new baby in a few months and wanted to repair wheels on our old one instead of buying new. Anyone had similar problem? Also I'm not able to find ANY pram repair shops in Melbourne.

I called them and they told me the nut you can get at any hardware store. I tried. It's not easy. If you find one please let me know. The plastic cap. You can buy that from mountain buggy for $0.99.

I have a mountain buggy that needs repairing

There is an official Mount Buggy Spare Parts supplier and service agent based in Sydney, Australia called Karlisles. I'm not sure which country you are in.

In case it helps their details are:

www.karlisles.com.au
1300 308 435

Alternatively, a good bicycle shop in your local city can usually supply these parts and service jogging prams.

Hope this helps

Have you managed to fit the carrycot already

Hi,

If this is the same as the UK model then you should make sure that you remove the hood of the pram (not the carrycot hood) as this makes life so much easier. You could contact www.mountainbuggy.com so that they can send you a manual.
When you attach the carrycot, there should be a clip either side of this to attach to the chassis, these clips snap shut when aligned correctly with the chassis.

I hope this helps.

Urban mountain buggy double stroller

Hi,

THe Mountain Buggy is very simple to fold. Level with the footrest, there is a black plastic button (either side), these simply push toward the back of the pram and hey presto! The pram will collapse. To make this as small as possible, keep the front two heels on swivel so that they tuck neatly underneath and the handle bar adjusted to the lowest position.

See this link to help a little more.

I hope this helps.

How do you collapse the buggy?

Hi,

At the footplate, either side there is a black plastic button. These buttons are pulled up and the pram will collapse. Keep the wheels on swivel mode so that they tuck neatly underneath and then move the handle bar to it's lowest height, then the pram will fit neatly into your boot.

I hope this helps.

Urban Jungle: push very heavy, squeaks

Alex,
You may try removing the wheels, cleaning all dirt and debris from the axel and the wheel, coating both the axel and inside of the wheel with silicone spray. If the axel is badly pitted from the dirt rubbing against it, you can use some emery cloth to smooth it back out before putting the wheel back on.
