I have to unplug and plug back in my router to get internt?

verify it is trying to connect to correct SSID - verify p/w entered correctly - verify MAC address is allowed in router.
chk to see if router is seeing chromecast asking for access.

Shouldn't need to be reconfigured. Power cycle (unplug and plug back in) both devices in the following order.

1 Unplug power to modem
2 Unplug power to router
3 Wait 20 Seconds
4 Plug power back into modem
5 Plug power back into router
6 Wait about 30 seconds for everything to re-initialize

That should take care of it, if not, let me know and I will provide you with some software for you router to try and set things back up, but I dont think you need to do that just yet.

it could be a problem with your internet connectivity. check with the isp.

Make sure your connections are right, 90% of problems result from bad or incorrect connection. If this still doesn't work, try unplugging the modem and router, leave it off for a couple of minutes, then plug everything back in. If this still doesn't work, try your local computer repair shop and see if they can futher assist you. Hope this helps! If you have any questions, send a comment

try re booting your computer in safe mode and let it repair everything - if that doesnt work do a system restore --NOT -- it usually resets your browser- also look for a little button on the back of your router for the internt there should be a small hole there -- it is the reset button press and hold using a pencil for 15 seconds then unplug it and let it sit for 5 minutes -- then plug it back in to power and wait until the internet signal lights on the front of your router are set then try it again- also make sure you have your default browser set towhatever net you use i set mine to msn.com - real simple it takes you to explorer good luck - let me know if any of that works -- i would really advise you try resetting the router first though

Make sure you have the cable plugged to the right spot. Your modem to the Internet/WAN port and your computer to port 1, the 2nd pc to port 2. Try to reset the router. There's a reset button at the back of the router. Hold it down for 30 seconds. Then do a power cycle. Unplug the power from the back of the router and also unplug the power from the modem. Wait for 30 seconds. After that, Plug the power back to the modem first, wait for all the lights to be steady then plug the power back to the router. That should do it.

U can try reset the router back to default factory mode, then reconfigure again...

Open a browser and go to Tools, internt options, then over to the advanced tab, make sure that the Disable script debugging box is checked, if not check it and then restart Internt Explorer.

Stop.

Forget about wireless at the moment.

Power down your modem, router, pc and laptop.

Plug in a wired cable between the router and the PC and a wired cable and the laptop(you have ethernet cards in both, right?).

Power up the modem and let it completely cycle.

Power up the router.

Power up the PC.

Try accessing the internet from the PC.

Power up the laptop.

Try accessing the internte fro the laptop.

If this works write next week when you get back from vacation and we will get wireless working.
