I can't seem to get into programming mode. I have followed the instructions in the manual & I've even called the tech line for Bulldog......and still I can't enter programming mode. I have turned the key to ON then OFF 3 times quickly, then pushed the valet/programming switch 10 times, holding on the 10th time. I used to get 10 chirps from my remote. Now all I get is the LED light flashing quickly (never stopping). (What I should be getting is 5 chirps then 1 long chirp when I'm in programming mode.)
I have been having the same problem. I was searching for the solution and found your question. Yesterday I tried the last thing I could think of and it worked. I unplugged everything from the black module. I left it over night I was coming home from work and wouldn't be going out to my car anymore but 15-30 minutes should be fine. Once I plugged everything back in, I was able to get into a programming mode. I was trying to change the start time. Hope this helps!
Yeah definitely try that. Your remote should stay linked with the unit. Also, make sure you have all the plugs back in the right slots. I did it this morning and it was slightly dark out still. I accidentally plugged the black plug into the white plugs slot and it wouldnt work, obviously. Let me know if it works for you. I still have to install another in my girlfriend's car and it would be good to know that this would solve the same issue if I ran into the same thing for her installation.
Well I unplugged the module, waited an hour, plugged it back in & still no chirping but the LED light was flashing quickly. So we ended up pushing the button it shows in the manual to change the start time length & noticed that the LED light flashed once, so I pushed it again, then the light flashed twice, and so on. Turns out that I was in programming mode the whole time, but for some reason my remote doesn't chirp to let me know that I'm in program mode. So I suggest watching the LED light if you think your having trouble getting in again. I will be trying the remote start tomorrow morning as it is first thing in the morning that I tend to have issues with my truck not starting.
Best of luck installing in your girlfriend's car. I'm sure it will work just fine. :-)

Thanks! I will have to try that. I read that somewhere on this site for a similar issue & was going to use it as a last resort but I will definitely try it this weekend & hope it works. Beats plugging it in with a timer every night just so it will start with the remote start in the morning.
