When you are formatting the PC all the motherboard function are lost. Check first the software if it is already installed. You need to install the motherboard driver so that the sound, video graphics, USB, LAN card and other part of motherboard are functioning, Load you installer CD to the CD room and install.
After that it's bring you to restart to take effect and get functioning.

1. If u have a motherboard driver cd u can easily install it.
2. if u no have a motherboard driver cd u should go to google.com
3. please type ur IBM thinkpad model no. in google search option
4. you can easily download it.

All you need is the drivers and they will work. Most, but not all, computer makers put all there drivers on their website. So try there first, go to the Zenith website, click on Support. They will probably ask for your model, make and service tag. The service tag is normally on the bottonside of your laptop. You should be able to download directly to your laptop. The second place is the manufacturers website that make your sound card. To find your model for the sound card, click on Start>right-click on My Computer>Click on Properties>Hardware tab and Device driver. Find your sound card in the list of hardware. Click on the plus sign to open the folder and you will see the maker of your sound card. Go to the makers website and download the drivers from there. Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.
