probably not glare but dirty lenses, clean up or install a glare or outside light cover around the lens

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS AND VIDEOS TO A COMPUTER
If your photos and videos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos and to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

Try to use Image Capture app... it should find your camera and let you pull the video from the unit. Otherwise you should be able to use any video editor to pull them across. If they are in SD format, you can put them into a media adapter rather than trying to transfer them through the camera - just pull it directly from the card (its a bit quicker sometimes).

Also had this problem with windows 7, Go in to "Devices and printers" If your camcorder is recognised there ie "Samsung Camcorder" Right click it you should be given a menu with several options choose "Browse files" then "CD Drive (*) intelli-studio" this opens the software installed on the camera, go down the list and find "setup_f" double click this and this should start the install process, it will probably tell you there is a newer version and ask you if you want install this select yes and hopefully this will then install the program , Hope this helps someone . Not sure you have given me the full model number. There is a manual for download on the Samsung site for a SMX-K40 65x Intelli-Zoom at THIS LINK

The Samsung Product page for the Compact Digital SL605 camera includes how-to guide, downloadable manual, accessories, etc.

I could find no reference to this camera needing a "driver". It does use software called Intelli-Studio to download photos to a computer. It is loaded from the installation CD that came with the camera and is activated when the camera is connected to the computer.
