SOURCE: spindles don't move anymore

The most likely culprits here are belts. This unit has belts and a rubber idler. Replace all of the rubber parts and you should be OK. This is a normal maintenance procedure for VCRs.

SOURCE: I tried the blank tape, writeable (with the record

Hi,
This kind of problem occurs if safety record switch itself become defective, safety tab of VHS tape push record switch located in VHS mechanism, if this switch becomes defective/ contacts clogged then system control chip wont get its signal and assume that tape record tab is open and tape is not recordable.
Please check record switch in VHS mechanism and make sure it is working, clean its contact with small piece of sad paper if found clogged, this will fix contact problem and safety tab of VHS tape will close safety record switch then VCR will start recording on tape.
Hope these info will help you.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

Will not start

Check the door lock and switch, check the input from the switch to the panel. If this is fine then check for power to the panel.remove the panel and reset the connectors to the panel.
If there is no action even after the panel is fixed with the program proceeding further, it is possible that the program controller unit is faulty.

Red light blinking won't accept tape

If a tape "hung" up and it won't accept one you have a loading issue.

The unit may use a belt to drive the tray or a geared mechanism.

In any case someone needs to open the unit up to "see" what is happening. Most of these a tape can be inserted with power off and manually cycled into the unit to see the issue---we usually use a old cassette with the tape inside removed to avoid issues.

If you cannot do that consider looking for a shop who will (some no longer work on this type of equipment.)

HE2 Plus blinks F-11

Look for the technical brochure. Mine was on the lower kick panel taped inside. I would not take off the back panel first. Maybe the top or the lower front if it is a front loader. It tells you how to do diagnostics and what the codes mean.

Machine not accepting tapes

Just a thought : check if the head isn't blocked ! It should rotate freely (without any friction). I had more or less the same phenomenon (my VCR wouldn't accept any tapes and nothing was activated if I "pushed " a tape in). The reason was here that the VCR wasn't used for a long time (a few months), but it was plugged in all the time (heated up the interior). As a result the head was a-kind-of-blocked. Nothing serious, since I rotated the head manually my VCR works fine.
