SOURCE: Philips 42PF9431d/37 behaving erratically

I would have the technician check out the key board assembly (button panel for lamen's terms). If not, then it could be a problem on the IR reciever board that is causing the small signal board to behave rather unusually. Tell him to check the ir board, there should be a surface mounted capacitor that will read shorted on a diode scale under the infra red diode. If that solves it,then it should cost you no more than 60$ reasonably. The logic board wouldn't have anything to do with the button changing.

I have also worked on a lot of this whole series of philips plasmas, and the control board is the least likely suspect from my experiences

SOURCE: PHILLIPS PLASMA TV MODEL #42PF9431D/37 Heard

Hi, Usually any "Pops" are an Electrolytic Capacitor "blowing up" quite literally, or "Gassing" as it is called. This happens due to some sort of power problem. Capacitors hate AC Voltage and Current, and Heat and Over Voltage. All of which, I have no doubt it was exposed to before it went "Pop" This is only a symptom of a far greater problem, to come, no doubt, soon, the rest of the set will fail too. Please DO NOT USE. this set any more, you risk fire or explosion or both. If you MUST use it at least unplug at bed time. Theses days home repair except for the most rudimentary problem is not feasible, setting aside the safety aspect. In my professional opinion, I would recommend, that you get a "Quote" for repair from a Philips Authorised Service Agent This is very important, that you contact a Philips head office and ask for a referral. This way at least you can make a decision to repair or replace.

I have a philips 42pf9431d/37 and I have black and green lines on the right side of the tv what is the repair for this

Sorry, unless you know tv's nothing you can do and the fix is very expensive. Basically not worth it
Hope you have warranty and take it back
It is fairly common to have few "dead" pixels that are not obvious
I know this is not the answer you are looking for but all new electronics are made in such a way that it is usually not worth the trouble
After all this is why they try to sell you extended warranty and if you pass you are stuck and have to buy new

No picture on philips model 42pf9431d/37, how to fix?

You will more than likely need your capacitors replaced. That is the most common problem with these.
