I think I had a similar problem before. Try Shutting down your PC, remove the power cord and the battery, and then hold the power button for 30 Seconds.
check for a wifi switch on the unit. also look for a wifi symbol on the "F" keys. ( 1-12) if you see one use Fn and "F" key together to switch on and off.
and you see post screen???? if so your lcd is ok; after post press repeatedly f8 to enter in safe mode ; if you enter in safe mode it is a driver problem or antivirus problem. keep me post it.
Hold down Fn key and hit F2. It will be used to turn on and turn off the wireless switch.
If you have window vista,
Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, Window Mobility Centre, Turn Wireless On.
Please uninstall the driver though Device Manager and get it install from the disc given by manufacture website or download the latest driver.

Some laptops have switches that you have to turn on manually in order ffor it to work look for a switch usually on bottom of the laptop under or near touchpad
Did you check the LAN driver and wifi hardware if it is installed?
