Completely removed drivers for wireless card and Intel Pro Utility, reinstalled straight from Dell site, then same with Dell CD. No luck. Wireless is recognized, but something is disallowing the services from being started. We are using the same image that worked on 12 e6520s a few months ago. These are configured the same. It's almost like they screwed up the software or changed wireless cards without telling us. Even in safe mode with networking, cannot start the services.

Hello,
I wasn't able to locate the CONFIG K2 part of your request. However, here is a link for your laptop LGK1 XP driver list.
Complete list:
http://www.lge.com/products/mobile/cdma_swlist_gcsc.jsp
Please notice that there is 3 pages of drivers available. The WLAN driver is on page 1 and the sound driver is on page 2.
While I was on that page I noticed some trouble with the page selection showing at the bottom. If you happen not to see the page selection option, then you can reselect K1 in the series field at the top of the page and click search again to get the page selection option back.
Thanks

Hey there
You are not getting this problem due to any BIOS and wireless driver.
as you said that you are not getting any problem with your another system.
Checkout for the range you are working in. else it wont be that much effective.
Sometimes it happens that your driver misplaced or changes its parametetr in registry without awaring you.
So first repair your wireless network
else secondly repair ur XP PRO.
this will surely help you to have a good speed with ur network.
Gimme your acknowledge
Thanx.

So u can connect to the router, but you arent allowet to access the internet?
The router gave your dell a new ip-number, but it dident gave you access to the net. You ned to do the settings in your router manual, let the router give your dell full access.
Good luck

This may not be enough of a solution, since you might have tried this already:
You know the little icon you see at the bottom for the Windows wireless service? Right-click on that, and go to "View available networks." The window that pops up should have a pane on the left, something that says "Change advanced settings." If I remember right, there's a tab that says "Wireless Networks", then uncheck "Use windows to configure my wireless network settings." Image below
