How do I program an AT&T u-verse remote to an ONKYO RC-866M remote

The RC-866M is the remote. What you need to do is add the codes for your Onkyo receiver into the ATT remote. There are 4 or 5 different Uverse remotes, but most can be reprogrammed by pressing the 'Menu' and 'OK' button together. First add your Onkyo codes to the ATT remote as an 'aux' device. After that is working, you can control the power and volume by adding the 'aux' device (Onkyo) to the power and volume buttons on the uverse remote.

These are all the different Onkyo Receiver codes:
Onkyo: 5002, 5018, 5073, 5074, 5075, 5076, 5077, 5078, 5079, 5080, 5081, 5082, 5084, 5085, 5086, 5087, 5130, 5131, 5140

This is how to reprogram the S10 style of Uverse remote:

I am attempting to program my remote to an aiwa stereo but i do not have a code and I don't remember how do that. HELP!!

Hey there, my name is Cheri Torres and I am with DISH Network customer service. I came across your question and I would be happy to help you with this issue. :) We have a few different codes for all of our different IR remotes. I will give you all of the codes that work the best, for the most common IR remotes that we have. You will be able to see which model remote you have by looking on the back of the remote at the top. The model number usually consists of two digits with a decimal point. For the 3.0, 3.1,3.2, and 3.4 IR remotes the most common codes for an Aiwa Stereo are 636, 641, 656, 687, and 718. For the 5.0, 5.2, 5.3, and 5.4 IR remotes the most common codes are 718, 641, and 720. Here are the instructions for addressing your remote to your stereo. I hope you find these codes and instructions useful. If you have any other questions feel free to post back here or email me at [email protected].

  1. Press and hold the desired Mode button until all mode button back lights come on, then release.
  2. Use the number buttons to enter the device code corresponding to the equipment. AUX Mode: Before entering the device code:
    • Press 0 for a TV
    • Press 1 for a VCR/DVD
    • Press 2 for any other device.
  3. Press the pound (#) button Note: The light will blink off after each digit is entered and then return to a steady light.
  4. Press the POUND (#) button. If the code entered is valid for the remote, the mode light flashes three times.
