I totally agree with the previous solution.....Try calling your local SEARS store and inquire....They are an authorized dealer and repair center for JVC and just about everything else so the repairs are guaranteed and you can be confident that it will be done right the first time...Call 'em up....they'll tell you what to do...Let me know how it goes.....I hope this was helpful.....PEACE..........

The problem is that the output amplifier section has a problem and the protection circuits are shutting down the system to prevent further damage. This should be a simple repair for any local service shop. If you can't find someone local, look up at the JVC website for an authorized service center. Use your zip code to locate the closest one.

2004jeep 4 wheel drive will not ingadge properly

Same happened on my 2007. It is an electronic box that sits under the 4wd lever and on top of the transmission. I paid to have it fixed twice, then a couple of years later it showed up as a recall item. Never did get my money back.
Call a dealership and find out if this item is on recall for your year and model.

Hi,
f61 is a protection code. it means theres is a fault with audio output ic, usually there is dc on one of the speaker output rails, replacing the audio output ic will usually cure this but check speakers and leads for shorts before reconnecting to the unit.

Should i put 1200 dollars into this car with 260000km for a new front and rear catalatic converters. P.S I only paid 200 for the car a year ago.

This is always a tough question. If the car has no other problems and is fine in every other way then I would risk the money and go ahead and repair it. Othewise, if you have a steady income stream , the money may just be better off used to buy a new car.

Ps3 wont turn on

Yes.

Make sure:

1) Its not sitting on carpet

2) has a 3 inch clearance all around it

3) it's dust free - use canned air or a vaccuum

4) it is plugged into an appropriately rated power strip; or an outlet designated specifically for it.

If these simple solutions don't work, I'm sorry but you'll have to send it in. To avoid high shipping charges, take it to the USPS and get a flat rate box.

How to turn protect off

You cannot . This a feature that detects a short and shuts the stereo off before it can do further damage. If you can disconnect your speakers try that then turn on your stereo. If it displays protect mode your problem is internal. If it stays on try hooking up one speaker at a time to see if one of your speaker is bad. Make sure you turn off your stereo before attempting to reconnect your speakers . Good luck
