Airport extreme incompatible with polycom?

Got a new airport extreme router. opened proper ports, and verified 3 times with polycom placed polycom in DMZ i can call out and get calls in i CANNOT see or hear those i connect with but they CAN see and hear me Apple says it is not the router and that there is not a compatibility issue and to call polycom polycom says it is not the polycom and there is not a compatiblity issue with any router, and that it is just my router settings the polycom DOES have the proper external IP address, so my NAT settings are set up correctly When a tech connected the polycom directly to my modem it did work again. BUT, now that i am trying to connect to my old router as a quick fix for today, it is not working and i am getting a time server "down" error on the alert screeen of the polycom. HELP.

Make sure that the Active Directory setting for the User you are using to RDP with (LDAP FQN) has the remote access option turned on.

Also make sure that the PC's you want to access have static IP addresses. Not sure if that was mentioned.

First time you should connect an Ethernet cable to the AirPort, and set it up with the software it came with. Then take a note of the wireless network's name (SSID) and the password (you might want to chance them to your personal preference though), security youre using (WEP, WPA, or WPA2)

Just got a new router (motorola) and airport will

Check your connections:

DSL-modem to telephone-jack (or cable-modem to cable-jack).

Ethernet cable from DSL-modem (or from cable-modem) to WAN port on your router.

Ethernet cable from LAN port on router to WAN port on your Airport.

Cut the power to the Airport, and then plug it back in, so that it restarts.

Airport extreme crashes a few times per hour

Try buying a brand new one. It might be older than you computer or it is the ISP causing the router to crash.

Polycom Soundpoint IP 501 - URL call is disabled

This in it's most basic description means that the phone is unable to register with the SIP server, most likely for lack of internet connectivity or a firewall blocking the packets.

If you've verified connectivity and opened the proper ports and the phone fails to initialize and still getting “URL Call Disabled” or all of the above parameters are correct, update the firmware for the router. This can usually be done within the router configuration. Then reboot in order, the cable modem or DSL, the router or switch, then the phone. This may solve the problem.

If still having the same issue, confirm in the router configuration for settings such as SIP proxy, gateway, or application layer or any configuration setting for SIP or VOIP. If any of these do exist, make sure they are turned off as these may only confuse or adversely affect many implementations.

You'll have to set up Port Forwarding on the router, to port forward a port from the 'local' zone to the 'internet' zone. And i do hope your not viewing the administration pannel on the thing in German. (polycom is german, as is their website)

LCD Display keeps flashing "INITIALIZING"

It needs to be plugged into a properly configured Avaya Definity digital port / wall jack. (NOT a regular telephone line as this can damage the polycom!!!) Does another Avaya digital phone work in that jack? If it does then call polycom for a RMA and eturn the phone under warrenty. If another Avaya digital phone does also does not work you need to check the PBX configuration or there is a wiring error at the jack or the PBX.
