Hi,

May I know if the unit won't power up, has a three blinking led light at the front panel? Also, please check if the grinding noise is near the lamp assembly.

I hear a loud grinding noise when i drive my car

Check front tyres & wheel bearings espesially the R/H/F. Feel tyre for high / low spots on inside & jack up & spin wheel if you get noise while jacked up it is not the tyres but wheel bearing or brake pads but more than likly a crook bearing by the sound of it. It needs to be tended to ASAP

Hearing some loud grinding noise while steering..

I would suspect your brake pads are worn out especially if you also hear the grinding noise when braking. If you only hear it when turning then have your wheel bearings inspected. Also check the power steering fluid level. It can also be the CV joints are worn.

RCA HD50LPW164 turned on TV made a pop

the loud pop you heard was probably a capacitor blowing its top. The grinding noise is likely high voltage arching that was occuring due to rising voltage since capacitor isn't there to smooth it out.

No picture or sound

Hi, your color wheel needs to be replaced, the bearings fail causing the grinding noise, the new ones use "air bearings" so they are supposed to last much longer, video-tek

Samsung DLP HDTV wide screen

Sounds like the colorwheel (used in DLP projection sets with a single DLP panel) is going bad, either the wheel itself or the bearings on the motor driving the wheel are starting to fail. I would recommend getting a professional to service the TV set.
