Is it possible to connect to internet with ps2

PS2 doesn't have wireless as part of the system. You need to stick a cable into the PS2 network adapter on the back of the system. Besides, IIRC, you can't update the ARMax codelist through the PS2 internet connection anymore as the file is now too big for a normal memory card, though if yuo have one of those 3rd party high capacity memory cards you can still save the data but risk losing it when the card corrupts anyway. How can I connect a old PS2 to the internet

Hello rsilva,
I will help you out.
Follow these steps to connect your ps2 to the internet
  1. Turn off your ps2
  2. Grab your ethernet cable
  3. put one end of the cable into the corresponding port in the back of your ps2 (if you do not have it, it means you have the first version of the ps2 and have to buy the modem separately).
  4. connect the other end of the cable in a free port in your router (or in the port of your broadband modem)
  5. turn on your modem if it's not on already, and turn your router on as well if it wasn't on
  6. turn on ps2
  7. put in your playstation 2 network disc or a game that has internet game modes
  8. (if you choose to do it with an internet-enabled game, then go to the online section in it)
  9. create a network configuration
  10. load it
  11. create a playstation network id
  12. enjoy!

How do I hook up my PS2 to the Internet?

make sure you have the Ps2 network adapter on your PS2. After that just simply connect and Ethernet cable to the back of the adapter. The other end of the cable goes to your router of course. Turn on router make sure you have a connection on your computer.( e.g. internet works) Then turn on your ps2, put in a game with online capabilities. Go to the online section of the game and create your account. And there you go, you should be connected. Keep in mind some ps2 online might not work they might of taken the servers done since PS3 is now primarily used online.

I want to start net on my ps2 how can i connect it through bluthoot modem

You can't use bluetooth to connect the PS2 to the internet. If you have the old PS2 model you need the ethernet adapter that sits on the back. The PS3 Slim has built-in ethernet.

Also, you can't access the net (surfing etc). You can only use the internet for online games (SOCOM etc).

PS2 internet ???

Hi

In order to connect a Ps2 to the internet you are going to need to purchase a PS2 Network Adapter.

The Ps2 came with free online play for all games but it required you to purchase a HDD and Network Adapter package.

The Xbox came with it built in but you had to pay for monthly use

Hope this helps

Note If you have problems connecting your netwrok adapter to your internet signal (ie Setting up the internet on the ps2) Call your Internet Service Provider (ISP) they will walk you through it.

Attach HP PS2 Keyboard to Dell Laptop

hmm, Interesting
Because the Laptops mostly do not have the PS2 Port,
if you are using the converters connecting the USB to the PS2.
then It may be the junction related issue.
so find a USB mouse and connect it directly or try with another Converter.
that should work.

Upgrade ps2 from internet

well im not sure, to connect it by using 1 ethernet cord. If you have a slimline it's in the back. If you have a fat one, buy the expansion back and connect it to the back of it. Now there is a ethernet plug in on the back of every computer, so connect one end to the ps2 and the other to the computer.

Connecting online with ps2 slim

On some models, the Ethernet comes from a PC board searate from the Motherboard. Now you can get a motherboard replaced for under $60. Check out the playstationclinic. Nothing you can really do if the Ethernet Chip is blasted.
