hi there!

it may have damaged the feed mechanism, this usually happens when theres a paper jam and we just pull it out. try powercycling the printer (unpug power cord from the printer and from the wall outlet too) leave it for 2mins, plug it back in to the printer first then to the wall outlet. if that dont work, ive posted the link for that printer here, check out the manuals and troubleshooting steps too, they're all for free. you can also contact 800-HP invent or 800-474-6836.

If you have already downloaded your software for the HP 2355XI or put the software from CD to your computer then your computer should recognize the new software. If you need the software go to HP and enter model and search software then download to desktop and follow directions. If by chance the default printer is set as Microsoft you need to click start then control panel and choose printers and take Microsolft off default and add HP 2355XI by right click and set as default printer. Did you try connecting the printer directly to wall instead of surge protector

Request you to get it check with the engineer personally or their might be a piece of paper stucked somewhere in the corner. I tried the same and was fixed

Check the HP web site and see if they have an updated driver for your AIO printer that will work with Vista
