Pt-50lc14 no sound on ch8, has sound on all others

Other tvs on same cable have no problem, this panasonic Pt-50lc14 has sound on all channels execpt for 08. Strange!! Any ideas? johnny

    Thanks Donald, I salvaged this TV, replaced the lamp & now that I have
    the oem remote I have the SAP button. One would think that the Auto
    Channel Setup would have worked. Thanks again, Johhnny

The channel memorised on channel 8 is set to another AUDIO frequency or audio mode. You need to check the setting of the channel 7 to confirm and reset using the manual tuning to reset the audio mode.Since you have not mentioned the place of residence, say for instance PAL system has different audio modes.

You are correct, this set is capable of high definition, but you will need an HD tuner to get HD channels.

Lamp reset on a panasonic model pt-50lc14-k
This works for mos Panasonics

Turn on Power
Pres and hold the "vol-" button on the front of unit and the "split" key on the remote together for over 5sec.

Screen should say " Lamp time was reset to 0"

SOUND NOT WORKING ON ALL CHANNELS
Check to make sure that the set is not set for SAP. This is an alternate audio channel that usually contains another language. Some stations broadcast the audio in both others do not.
