Press and hold the calibrate key, which is marked "CAL." Wait until "CAL" is displayed on the LCD screen. The calibration display will then read the zero point, "0.0." Press the "CAL" key again and hold it for two to three seconds to wait for the scale to calibrate the zero point and display the full capacity.
Hi AnyMoose:
I list 3 ways to fix the touch screen on a Z22. People on fixya list a credit card method. 4 ways to get the screen working. More tips and maintenance at:
If the touch screen is broken then there is no other way but to replace the unit and it is best that you take consensus and estimate before going further.
The touch screen may be faulty but can be replaced. The SLOT 1 game slot may have bent pins or broken pins. Bent pins can be easily fixed (with care and patience) but replacing the SLOT 1 or the touch screen is quite difficult. It is probably repairable but only by someone who knows what they are doing.
first try to calibrate the touch screen.Take all games out turn on then go to the very small ds on the bottom touch screen. If you can't touch it move it with the cross down then hit a. Then select the option all the way to the right it looks like cross hairs that's the calibration screen fallow instructions. If that doesn't fix it it could be a broken screen or a loose ribbon.
if it is cracked then most likely it will need to be sent back to the manufacturer for repairs. If its not working correctly you could always try to do a screen calibration.
The only possible fix is to try to clean the edges of the screen in case any particles are trapped between the screen and the case, this can confuse the touch screen.
Do this with a soft toothbrush, it will not damage the screen.
If that doesnt work then in all likelihood the screen is broken, it can be replaced but this is not trivial. There are guides on the internet on how do do this.
