The key lock selector is on the side of the unit, above the external headphone and microphone jacks.

I found the manual for the RCA 5220 at the RCA support website. It is in PDF form and needs Adobe to download. Adobe is available for free most anywhere. Here is the site I found it:

There are programs on the net that will provide you with unlock codes, but these charge a fee. The easiest way to do this is to contact the provider that the phone is locked to and request the unlock code. When asked why you need it state that you are traveling to Europe or another country and would like to use a local SIM card. They will provide you with the unlock code and instructions on how to unlock the device.
