Remove cracked plastic part of faceplate on 2007 camry jbl system

Thanks! Coffee spilled behind the clear plastic faceplate discoloring the display and cracked the faceplate. I'm trying to figure out if I can remove the faceplate to clean behind or if I can relace the cracked faceplate. The radio works perfectly. W

SOURCE: stick auxiliary box lid

This is a known failure item. Take it to a dealer & have them replace it under warranty. I personally have changed 20 or so. The replacement boxes seem to have been upgraded, and do not display this issue any longer.

Plastic smell and smoke

The plastic smell is most likely the friction material on the clutch due to overheating. A defective throwout bearing or broken clutch spring can cause this issue. Excessive heat in the clutch system may also damage parts that would effect pedal height.
*Remove the inspection cover on the the transmission and look for signs of black dust, broken clutch springs or metal shavings, and discoloration on the flywheel.

How to connect aftermarket radio into 2002 toyota camry JBL radio (the standart wiring doesn't work). Thanks

Your aftermarket radio should have color-coded wires which identifies power, ground, speakers, etc. most depaetment stores carry a radio harness adapter kit. This will connect to your radio's exact color coded wires, and will plug right in to your factory's wiring plug. And don't forget electrical tape.

Location of oil filter

on the camry with the 2.4L inline 4, the oil filter is located just behind the plastic shield which extends below the front of the car... it will be on the passenger side, and is best removed with the variety of oil filter wrench which attaches to a ratchet (custom fit super graphite from shcuck's is the best I've found). I DO NOT recommend you use a strap type, or serrated jaw type wrench on this car, or you WILL have to remove the plastic shield, and waste a lot of time in the process.
On a camry equipped with the 3.0L V6, the oil filter is on the driver's side of the engine - mounted sideways. you SHOULD be able to get it through the driver's side wheel well. You WILL spill oil getting this one off - it's almost impossible not to, so be prepared for this. I'd personaly reccomend the type of wrench that attaches to a ratchet for this filter, but a strap or serated jaw type might work as well.
Hope this helps

2007 Toyota Camry. The passenger side carpet is wet,but not stained and has no real oder. It is soaked under the seat by the airconditioner duct. Its just like we spilled water. AC works fine and i...

it sounds like the drain hole for the condenser is clogged and the water is pooling up and overflowing out of the vent and spilling over onto the carpet. you need to un clog the drain hole. if you look behind the passange wheel and under neath the car you will see a black hose leading up and into your fire wall run a long semi flexible wire or like and un clog it do not jam it in to far or too hard you dont want to put a hole in the condencer but when you get through you will get a rush of water that should pour out

How to hook up the sirius stratus 5 radio in my 2008 rav4?

I have sirius installed in my 2008 RAV4 JBL system.
There is an adapter made by VAIS technologies http://www.vaistech.com/ that is called a soundlink. It comes with instructions for the connection. The Sirius radio is hidden in this installation, and is controlled by your JBL system. The antenna runs up the side of the windshield (hidden behind the plastic moulding) and mounts to the top right corner of the roof.

HOWEVER- you will not have the full funcionality of the Stratus 5 radio- which has more funtionality that the JBL system can control. Also, the Scrolling feature on the Stratus 5 screen does not work on the JBL display. . . you get the first 15 or so characters, with no scrolling.

I love having an integrated satelite radio in my car, but I do miss the better screen, and the pause feature I had on my sportster (in my old car). Good Luck.
