Rolling screen my tv screen is rolling when you turn on the tv....someone told me it was the regulator...I was wondering if you think that is what is wrong with it??? Is that something that should cost a lot of $$$ to fix or what do you think!!! I took the back off and noticed that the green tube was a little shaky like when a light bulb is fixing to go out!!! Thanks Lannie

Good Day; lanniejo;

1. VERTICAL ROLLING, ALSO MAY HAVE HORIZONTAL PULLING OR TEARING. REPLACE C2C52 10 UFD @ 50 V OFF THE BASE OF Q2C51 ON THE SIGNAL PCB. 2. REPLACE C2P05 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P01 AND IC2P01 PART # 270P466020 (9-VOLT REGULATOR). BOTH ARE ON THE SIGNAL PCB.

It should not be that costly, always get an estimate, if you can't repair it yourself. Don't worry about the light bulb, it should be okay, as long as the picture color is ok. Good Luck, big IRISH.

Where can i get a plexiglass screen?

I have a P46921 46 in rear projection television. I brought it in and they told me it was the processor board (main control board with programming) that wasn't letting the TV turn on and was quite an expensive repair. I now have the parts back and was wondering if someone could use them. I know that some people were looking for the actual screen found behind the plexiglass or what looks like plexiglass. I have all the parts and was told that it worked beautifully until it decided it wouldn't turn on again. Anyone interested, please drop me an email at [email protected].

Thanks.

Turns on but nothing else works

Your probably correct, however, the tuner also has serial/data lines going to it so the tuner can cause that problem but highly unlikely.

Sony BRAVIA KLV-40U100M Issue

Just bought the KLV-40U400M Sony Bravia Monitor. Did you fix the turn on turn off problem? How much did it cost, labor/parts?

I'm thinking I better get the extended warranty although I wonder if the board will continue to go bad year after year.

I was told the tv could be replaced but w/someone else's refurbished tv. I was very unhappy w/that response.

So how's your tv today?

Picture is Rolling..stops after some warm-up

I have seen this many times. There is a 9 volt regulator on the small signal board that causes this. The regulator goes bad and the 9 volts starts dropping, especially at start-up when the regulator is cold. If the voltage is below 8 volts then the picture gets dark and the vertical becomes unstable, with the picture squeezing down and/or rolling. As the regulator warms up the voltage starts rising back towards 9 volts and the symptoms start clearing up. There are 3 regulators in a row on the board and the regulator in the middle is always the bad one. Replacing that regulator should cure your problems but it should be replaced by someone experienced in servicing Mitsubishi projection TV's because pulling the chassis out is quite tricky.

Lines on tv

All of the convergence IC's should be replaced at the same time! Its not a job for a user to do without the experience. This repair should range in the way of between 250 all the way up to 400 bucks. good Luck
