It's my best understanding that it is not compatible with Vista. Were I you, I'd do a search something like "compare Calendar Creator 12 to" and review some of the programs that would pop up to see if any of them look like a possible solution. Also, you might want to make sure they'll run on Windows 7 toward the chance of a later upgrade on your part.
It might be of interest for you to know that W7 Professional or Ultimate Editions come with the opportunity to download (free) their XP Compatibility Mode software which will allow you to run any XP program that is not scheduled to be formatted for Vista or 7.
Drivers are a recurring problem with Vista. Check on the Vista page Compatability list to see if your printer is supported. If it is, it whould run, if you dont find it, contact www.teac.com/support directly to see if they have a fix for you.
Alternatively, you can have your computer scanned for free at www.pcpitstop.com . They will want you to purchase a subscription for driver updates and that may be a good investment for you. Point is, pcpitstop will tell you what drivers are not current and you can go search for them yourself if you like.
We regret to inform that this product is not compatible with Vista.
There are no Vista drivers available.
We always try to keep our products functional for as long as possible.
As a result of the quick succession of developments in this sector and
the age of some products, we are sometimes no longer able to keep
products compatible with the frequent release of new operating systems,
such as Windows Vista. Unfortunately, this is the case for your product.
It is good, however, that you have always been able to use the product
in the past, but the technology used is no longer compatible with the
new operating system. We apologize for this.
A clear example that shows that many old technologies no longer work in
Windows Vista is the operating system itself.
There are two possible solutions:
1. You can continue to use your old operating system.
2. You can purchase a new product that is compatible with the new
operating system. The advantage of this option is that the purchase
price of the new product is less than your current product, the
performance is much faster and/or better and you have a full warranty
again.
Palm was having trouble supporting but there is a new desktop available for the TX on Vista as well as Apple OS X. I don't know how well that machine will sync to both desktops though. It's probably a good idea to sync it on one machine or the other.
check the NOKIA site for compatibility issues for VISTA. VISTA has compatibility issues with many softwares (which may include the improper driver for your N 72)
you shouldnt need a device driver for your pda to work along side with Vista, as Vista has it's own Windows mobile device centre which should run as soon as you connect your pda to a usb port.
If it doesnt run, then open up windows mobile device centre in programmes and check the mobile device settings as to whether usb is set to connect to the centre.
