Hi - Same problem as countless other posters. Have Googled for hours and days on end. I've done all the resets/restarts possible (I think!); cleaned the glass; moved the scanner to centre; covered scanbed with white paper; left unplugged for days. Can't think of anything else (non-violent) to do. Does anyone have any other ideas for me to try, or is it time to give up now? Thanks.

Scanner replacement is needed as this cannot be repaired, the lower printer part is perfect just the scanner parts needs replacement.it is also costly to get replaced.

Hp psc 2410 photosmart driver win7

HP no longer provides support for drivers for this printer. The newer Windows OS will support the printer natively, but sometimes it requires a little finesse from the user. Here is a link to an HP forum where folks tell how they worked out the communications issue for the print and scanning functions. Hope this helps!

I do not want to use color cartridge in my hp psc 2410 printer. But without installing this cartridge, the printer is not working

Inkjet printer require both cartridges to be installed and have ink to go online. There is no way to bypass this function. If the printer does not detect the cart when it tries to perform a head clean cycle you get the error you have displayed on the screen. All inkjet printers are like this not just HP.

Why is my hp psc 2410 photosmart all-in-one make a clicking noise, when I turn it on? It seems to be stuck in a "cycle". Like the printing carriage (if that's what you call it) is hooked-up.

See if you can press the power button to turn it off, leave it for 5 minutes then turn it on again, if the clicking persists again try 1 more time, turn off, leave for 5 mins then turn back on this time there should be no clicking noise and you should be able to send a print job to the queue and it should print.
If this doesnt work then goto the hp software and purge.

HP psc 2410 photosmart all-in-one not piking up paper

Make sure you inserting the paper not deep inside just insert and stop it when you feel any resistance .and try to print something. If it is print then well otherwise you have to show it service center.

My hp psc 2410 photosmart printer will not print - only copy

Check to make sure your PSC 2410 is in fact the default printer. If it is, make sure your cable is firmly plugged in to your printer and CPU. Clear the print queue. Turn off and restart printer. I have found that your problem is basically a communication problem between the computer and printer. Also check www.hp.com. Good luck.

Hp psc 2410 photosmart printer is printing faintly and only bottom half of words in paragraphs. The color is also faint. I have replaced both the color and black cartridges. I have also run head cleand and...

Try taking out the cartridges and blot the bottom of the cartridge with paper towel wetted with warm water.Repeat several times. While the cartdigdes are out, use the eraser end of a pencil and gently clean the contacts in the carriage and then clean the contacts of the ink cartridges.
