You will need an SWR meter to check your antenna. FIRST.
I would find help at a local cb shop.. They SHOULDN"T CHARGE to help you SET the swr. only if you need a part or something ..
I don't charge to SET SWR"s .. only if the cust needs a insulating washer or another antenna, or new coax, so-239 etc... I would be glad to help you.. let me know if we can -- CB Shop Temple, TX

Sqeel in tramission when mike is keyed

Check your antenna connections. This type of feedback is many times caused by a bad connection or an antenna which is mismatched to the radio.

Best regards.

I have a old pioneer stereo double cassette deck reciever model # RX-Z15, i dont understand the bal/unbal fm antenna hook ups cant get reception , need to know where to hook up the antenna or what kin

Buy a 300ohm FM Y antenna wire screw the spade ends into the balance hookup and fasten the Y section on your wall, "higher the better" this will improve reception. The antenna can be purchased at Radio Shack or Tv repair shop.

Do i need a converter box for my rca true flat 27 in? if not how do i connect a digatal antenna i have lost my manual

Your TV will require a Digital Converter Box to recieve over the air Digital Television Signals. You will need to hook up the antenna to the converter box and then hook your converter box to the TV. Hooking your television directly to a digital antenna will not get you Digital signals...only analog signals.

Can't recieve any or little transmissions

You have to match your antenna to your truck. You have to make sure the mount or antenna has a good ground, now if you grab the bottom of your antenna bracket around the stud does this change the noise in your truck. If so then you need to run a ground if not you probably don't have a ground problem, you grabbing it is giving it a ground you can ground it by self tapping screws in the tool box into side of truck. Or if its not a ground problem try another antenna shorter or taller to see if that works and make sure you have at least 18 ft of coax and good coax at that.

Im trying hook up a subwoofer to my reciever and its getting power to the amp, however the amp is not powering on.. do you have any idea?

did you hook up the power antenna or amp. turn On wire? make sure you should ha a wire that is to power an antenna and this is the wire that has 12 volts as soon you turn On your stereo and send 12 volts to your amp. but if you don't connect this wire, the amp will never turns On

Lost antennae reception

either the antenna is broken, or your service was cancelled. Contact SIRIUS for your account info. Did you pay to have the new radio turned on? I believe they have a $75.00 "activation fee".

Cobra 29 ltd classic antenna calibration ??

You should not calibrate the antenna before you install it on the car!! the antenna needs to be calibrated on the vehicle that it is going to be on. Type of vehicle, different mounts, and many other variables can change the amount of reflection you will get.

j0hn9999 did a much better job but left some info out.

Take your SWR readings on channel 1, then on channel 40.... NOW, if your SWR is higher on ch 40 then ch 1, then your antenna is too long and it needs to be shortened. Refer to the antenna instructions on how to shorten the antenna.

If your SWR is higher on ch 1 then on ch 40 then your antenna is too short. You must lengthen the antenna. Again refer to your antenna instructions on how to lengthen your antenna.

You must calibrate each time you take a reading.

Make sure your doors and windows are shut when taking a reading

Make sure you are in an open lot when taking a reading as buildings, trees and other structures can cause reflection and give you an inaccurate reading.

If you adjust the length of your antenna on another vehicle and then put it on yours, the SWR will be off. It will need to be tuned again.

An external meter is better then the one in the radio, but will need to be hooked up in the vehicle you have the antenna on.

If you are not running any kind of power, or do not have a swing kit installed, and the radio is stock, the meter in the radio is more then enough to get a correct SWR reading.

Cant transmit out

Not really enough info to help you, but you MUST check the SWR of your antenna system. I've seen many cases where the antenna studs were incorrectly installed, shorting the antennas to ground. Also, make sure the Dynamike control on the CB radio is turned fully clockwise.

Nissan Sentra Radio Antenna

Let me guess - the hole on the factory head unit that is meant for the antenna lead is small-gauge, and the wire in the car is larger? If so, you probably have an adapter plugged onto the factory antenna wire. Both of my Nissans had small antenna wire plugs, and to use the antenna wire with an aftermarket deck, I had to buy a small (4-6" long) adapter that would plug onto my antenna wire and adapt it to a larger size to fit the standard-sized antenna jacks on the aftermarket head units. See if you can grab the end of the antenna and pull it off to reveal the proper-sized hole.

As for the engine swap, it can be done but will require at the least, the engine, ECU, engine bay harness, possibly the chassis harness, possibly the transmission (if the transmissions are different for those two engines), and if the transmissions are different, most likely you'll need axles, some sort of adapter plates for mounting the transmission to the car, and maybe even wheel hubs as well (for receiving the different axles). It's a very big job.

Nokia-6708

If the phone didn't come with FM the phone can't be upgraded with FM. There is no way of making the phone recieve FM-transmissions without a built-in FM-reciever. The built-in antenna is tuned for a different range of signals and can't be "tuned" to recieving FM.
